Chemtrails, 25 year old secret immunity deals, self driving tech, government raids, China’s soft-power neocolonial bankrupting of Africa.

You have a Ram ProMaster van with a self-driving system that doesn’t exist in our reality yet. What are you going to do with it?

Yeah, I’d be in @ $7,500 if all of the bodywork and paint was sorted, but right now? Maybe half that.

Did I just wake up in 1985?   Because if I didn't, this is certainly crack pipe.

I find grade-5 bolts to be ugly...like something you’d get at Walmart. I know it’s more than enough for threading into aluminum but I’d have to replace that with a better bolt. I guess we all have our own form of OCD...

That’s not my complaint.  My complaint is who wants to overhead press that jack into place, and hold it there, while you try to secure it.  Sounds like a two person job.

Are you sure you want to hang the farm-jack so close to the body like this? As soon as things start rattling around offroad, the lifting arm of the jack will dent that beautiful paintwork, and nowadays nobody wants their offroader to look like it’s been through an actual adventure.

Take it off. You know they’re removable, right? There’s no reason to be dragging a tent around for the other 360 days of the year, except as a sacrificial offering to the fuel gods.

Some people can’t have multiple cars. Some people take on vacation a year and choose for that to be spent overlanding. The same rigs you see out on the toughest trails still go to work during the week and stop at the mall for pants. You track your sports car 90% of the time? You bitch that people drive around in their

I had a 2005 Passat TDI. The bigger nozzles in question (generally meant for high flow fueling of trucks) kinda just fit on top of the hole. If you put pressure on the hole it would seal, just don't expect the click to work. :O

That was just you being safety first and trying to minimize the chance of fiery death!!!

I see a stock windshield, the center console display and parts of the shell of the stock car. The headlights and taillights might be stock too. I bet if you had time you could find at least ten other parts on this that are shared with the stock car.

I think it has to do will allowing gearing/ratio changes quickly. They are using quick change diffs front and rear so they can quite easily change the final drive ratio to the wheels for different events/ driving.

High performance electric motors aren’t quiet.

It’s measured a quarter-mile at a time.

Absolutely. Sell them with a rear sticker that says “Plaid... LOL.”

As silly as this it, it would be straightforward to make a production version, unlike other crazy-horsepower versions of car. Heck, since they’re mostly using parts from the regular Mach-E, it probably wouldn’t even be that expensive, all things considered. Maybe an extra 50K over a Mach-E GT, which is stupid-cheap

30-40 pedestrians per mile

Personally, I like that police can quickly identify stolen and uninsured vehicles. I’d like it more if they actually acted on those finds though, I get the sense that they are largely ignored.

Simply put, the author is wrong, wrong on that the reason this dam collapsed and wrong about regulations . The company managing it was out of compliance with the regulations. It’s not that regulations were removed but that the company managing them weren’t complying with the regulations as they were. So with that
