At this point I’m not sure enough people give a damn about this for Trader Joe’s to move any faster (2700 ppl or so have signed the petition). But hey, maybe this is part of a school project or something.

I think I said something similar around here last week, but I don’t think it is possible to appease somebody who creates a change.org petition.

Bedell remains unappeased. “There’s an abundance of products in their stores,” she told The New York Times, “and I think it’s still important — the petition remains important — because Trader Joe’s lacks the urgency needed in the current climate to remedy the issue.”

I bet it won’t even come with crank windows!

I can’t wait to hear all the small truck die hards bitching and moaning about Ford giving them a small truck that isn’t a 2000 ranger.

I live in the suburbs. In Texas, the heart of “a lot of people have a reason to drive a truck/Jeep” land. No one thinks that, no one cares if the truck has an Ecoboost to get the power or a 6.2L in a GM truck, no one scoffs at anyone else for not hooning as many cylinders as they are, no one gives a shit that the

If those omissions are the only critical things that they can say about the Bronco, then Ford did a good job of the design.

The lack of a V8 was a huge mistake. Nobody is going to buy a V6 Raptor.

Yeah, everyone knows that Ford will never be able to get significant power from a V6.

BUT THEY  JUST DON’T SOUND RIGHT

Yes, exactly, Jeep has been selling Wranglers with minivan engines to purists for decades, and now it would suddenly be a hard requirement that could doom the Bronco ?

In an offroad setting an N/A V8 offers advantages over a turn turbo V6. From a power standpoint they may not be much different but a simpler engine is preferable when you’re far away from society. Turbo engines create more heat, have a lot more moving parts to break, have difficult packaging to work on, etc...

I’m glad it didn’t.  It’s 2020; N/A V8s are dead or dying for good reason.  Thank you Ford, for trying harder and being better.  I know it’s on my list now.

First Gear (because I have a short attention span this morning):

Its ok the Bronco didn’t debut with a V8. I’ll still want one after the first year model gets the bugs worked out and I’m of the camp that the V8 is not going to be with us much longer.

I think I have a list...

Mostly guys with lots and lots and lots of money and very small penises, of course. Just like every other silly “hypercar”. It’s not really a car, it’s a rolling billboard of the size of your billfold.

That rear-end......like the designer was using the drawing table for their nose candy and the razor blade chopped off the back end. I am befuddled who the fuck is going to buy this thing.
