But Elon and his marketing department went hard on the idea you could sleep on your way to work. At a time when it was a glorified lane keep assist and semi bad emergency braking system.

The problem is all the idiots that believe Autopilot does way more than that. Technically, the use of “Autopilot” was ok, I don’t disagree with Musk.  BUT, when they saw the number of idiots that didn’t understand, Tesla should have modified their messaging.

The police department claimed this was not true, or at least that once the cops became aware that they needed masks, they went back to their car to get them before trying to place their orders.

Why were these people fired if the cops were not wearing masks?

In the meantime the cop who murdered Daniel Shaver got to retire with his pension and the cops who murdered Breanna Taylor and Sarah Grossman are walking around free. These cops should feel lucky that this the worst treatment they’ve had to face.

Oh I’m with you. Most of the serious guys and girls I know went auto and never looked back. I don’t do any crawling myself but I have to sneak a RWD F-750 with a ton of weight in the box and a 60' boom over some pretty gnarly terrain more often than I’d like to, and the clutch work and control required is something

a true jalop

Here you go. Go for it.

This. Rather than spend money on Beefsquatch, I’d rather just hit up the junkyards later on and make the rig what I want it to be.

They won’t sell because these price points are way outside what the working class can afford, especially given the current climate and future outlook.

I rather get a base model. Most of the time you’re a serious offroader then you are going to replace all the stuff with aftermarket parts anyways and cheaper If you know how to wrench yourself.

I think it is a hell of a better option that a Cherokee Trailhawk, at least in Badlands trim. Most people only drive to a trail-head anyway.  Plus all these options and gear...looks like a great little weekend getaway rig.

This looks like it can compete in the somewhat more capable crossover segment (cherokee)

The 2020 Bronco Sport is what would happen if my 2006 Escape got really into bouldering

It would only be a problem if this were THE Bronco. As it is, they leverage the name for some extra revenue, and the regular Bronco gets built.

I gotta say I hate this a lot less than I thought I would.

Oh come on, Ford has had some build and reliability issues, but they’re not THAT bad.

To look out for rocks probably. I wish all off-roads had that option.

And why doesn’t every vehicle have one?

It annoys me when these lists include food items that are specific to a city within the state but not the state itself. A Cubano may be iconic in Miami, but it’s not in, say, Jacksonville. Philly cheesesteak is a Philly thing, but not a PA thing per se.
