Just to add, I’ve never met anyone not in trade that understands how things work in trade. Everyone is so programmed into the “you have to go to college to have a good life” mindset that nobody seems to grasp that you can just do something else.

Not all trades have unions or need apprenticeships, I’m not part of one and I am not an apprentice. The trade industry is currently starved of employees, so it is remarkably easy to find a job in trade, they’ll take anyone willing to learn.
