Uhm, Barbie *was* a Ken movie. If anything, the sequel should be about Barbie!

Is that how they’re actually writing the character or some weird personal hang-up of yours about the character? It seems an awful lot like it’s the latter...
This may or may not be obvious to everyone... but I feel these casting leaks (especially big name roles like this) are always done intentionally to see which actor will garner the most positive fan reaction. Whoever does is the one they cast...
Again, I ask: who the heck are these for?
Certainly not fans...because these very clearly have a misunderstanding of what Trek actually is and serve to only really make fun of the franchise in a pretty mean-spirited and dumb way.
I couldn’t care less about canon. I care about good science fiction storytelling and morality plays - the bread and butter of the franchise up until the TNG movies and this latest crop of cash grabs.
Took a turn for more boring, you mean.
These are just unfunny. This isn’t Trek, it’s lame fan service - that doesn’t even make sense. Would Spock really think those events are anything but tragic and gruesome?? He suppresses his emotions, not his intelligence (maybe that’s the trick to enjoying these and all else…
So...uh...Quantum Leap?
This looks like it’s going to be really good. Can’t wait.
I don’t begrudge the man for adopting his Grumpy Interviewee Persona. Especially as a way to deflect being asked the same questions a thousand times. But it’s always a treat (a rare treat) when he drops it and we get to see a little bit of the man who’s brought us iconic, mythical heroes.
I mean, this seems pretty obvious?
Whoever was in the suit for season 1 clearly has clowning/miming in their background because, man, each head move felt imbued with nearly as much expression as an actual face. Pretty bold and gutsy, and a credit to the entire production, to have a faceless protagonist who lures us in…
Yikes. He’s just a full-on parody of himself now.
Aaaand this is why it keeps getting cancelled (and resurrected over and over, each time eroded more and more from its one-time brilliance).
Yeesh. Look, I love this show - well, it’s original run. And I was sad to see it get cancelled. But, y’know, maybe it’s time to... move on.
So, just like Picard’s death in Season one, Shaw’s death has absolutely no meaning and is just a “cheap thrill”.
How are these shows getting to air? Who can’t see this for the laziest, cheapest, most hollow writing of a tv show ever? Some fanfic out there is better.
Amazing concept ...but not very funny
Yikes, special effects look terrible. The flying looks...so bad? The ship set looks like something from a stage play production.
Also, not sure about the kid playing Peter Pan. This is the trailer, you’d think they’d pull his best bits and...he does not seem to be a good actor (at least not on par with the rest of what…
“people change in 20 years”
You mean they become incompetent at their profession? lol
“...finally get to the thing that everyone wanted.”
No. No we did not. They literally told us they’d reveal Jack’s origin or whatever in the last episode and did not even scratch on it here. They’ve dragged this thing out too long and it’s just annoying now.
LOL when have these new Trek shows ever paid off on promises to explain massive plotholes and plot contrivances?
I don’t think you know what a “bottle episode” is.
It’s always the same reasoning behind why nuTrek shows’ episodes are scant on story and quality of what little story there is: they’re setting up for the next episode; that’s when the real fun will begin!!!
