Damn. This looks really good. I have hope for Chris Pratt’s VO now, too.

You are used to good writing. You’ll have to forgo that if you want to make it through an episode of this show without your brain turning to mush.

What a sloppy episode this is.

I had high hopes for the show since the previous episode was actually decent - but as with all nuTrek, it *always* ends up being an utter disappointment.

Why did Riker suddenly take on Shaw’s whole vibe of being antagonistic toward Picard?? It would have made since to just have had Riker

No, you’re spot on. It seems very cheesy and totally not in tone with the character.

It actually looks ...good?? But, man, that CGI looks atrocious. Worse than Marvel’s already pretty bad effects.

It could be Marvel compensating for the backlash they got for the last Thor movie. That one went too far comedic so maybe this is offered up as a correction?

When you realize that the audience for nuTrek is the Star Trek Online game players, it all makes sense. The total lack of character depth, too many “easter eggs,” the cheesy one-liners, the overwrought emotionality, the disjointed storytelling within each episode, the over emphasis on “action” - pretty much each

Batman: The Animated Series (the first two seasons, anyways)

I guess it wasn’t technically an adult animated show as it was primarily aimed at children. But I think their attempts to air it in prime time make it count?

Emissary is not just the best Trek pilot, it’s for sure one of the best pilots of TV ever. It should be a textbook example of how a pilot should be done for any tv show.

It moves at a great pace, but yet still takes time to introduce, vividly, all the players. It tells its own exciting story yet opens up the world to

Yeesh. His voice over does suck and it seems now they’re trying to convince us it’ll be a good movie afterall for its visuals an easter egg jokes.

Unfortunately, it looks like this movie’s going to be a mess, though. Presumably this is their best foot forward clip and... well, looks like the movie’s going to stink if

Ah, so *this* is what the Transformers movies should’ve been all this time!

Meh.

I was pretty hopeful after the first “teaser” trailer that this would be a fun adventure film and that Pratt’s VO would be somewhat decent...
This new trailer disabuses me of that. Seems like this will be a mishmosh of stuff in an effort to maximize nostalgia points and Pratt’s VO seems like it’s going to be lame.

I find it hard to imagine the writers and showrunner could be this sloppy and trite in marking Mariner ultimately getting kicked off. All of a sudden Mariner’s actions don’t make sense and Freeman’s decision to boot her off makes no sense either... I suspect they’re working together in secret to take down Admiral Buena

IF you hated Nemesis, you’ll hate this. These aren’t the characters as they were in TNG, they are based on the warped Nemesis versions.

“honey bunny”?

Oof. This looks so bad. This is fan-fic shit.

I think Chris Pratt’s voicing Mario is repulsive - but I do like the animation featured here. It’ll be visually beautiful, at least.

Apparently she was in only 14 episodes of DS9, but it feels like she was in more than half of the entire run.

What a towering presence. A skilled and talented performer.

Ugh. This show is so annoying. It’s what incredibly dumb people think smart content is and therefore think of themselves as being smart, too.

Why anyone thinks this buffoon will be able to pull off a proper send off is mind-boggling. “All Good Things...” is a great ending to TNG - it doesn’t need any add-ons. Especially not from the same people who brought us DIS and PIC.

It’s going to be a bunch of one liners referencing either too obscure or too obvious
