How does it make sense to pay more to rent them?  Buy them and then sell them after, or give them away or burn them.  It makes no sense to rent something for more then you can buy it

Because everything involved in the wedding industry is a fucking racket. Do you know what people are charging to use working barns for an evening? THOUSANDS

This also seems like something that could be pretty easily fixed by Freedia with a contact clause. Like, any song they do vocals for, get in the contract that they'll appear in any video made for it.

For that amount, I would provide it.

Honestly, I had never gone to a wedding that included alcohol until I was in my late twenties, and that one was the most miserable. A bunch of people were overserved and it was an all-around bad time. If there are no booze or just a champagne toast, it's fine.

I had lotsssssssssssss of games at my reception. But also lotsssssssssssss of alcohol. And tacos!

So I clicked that link, and I think my point remains. The interview with Fader was in spring 2018, well before this song was written, recorded, negotiated. That quote is specifically about Drake’s “Nice For What,” which you may notice is NOT called Nice for What Featuring Big Freedia.

I would say the only rule of wedding planning should be: the bride and groom get to do what they want, however they want, and you are not obligated to attend/stay.

Unfortunately my wedding was dry (thanks in-laws). But my parents threw an absolute bash at their place to make up for it. You just had stick around long enough to get that drink.

The absolute, only rule of wedding planning should be: provide lots of free food and alcohol.

For $3200 I would be expecting an entirely different kind of cornhole.

The fact that this easily searchable answer for why Big Freedia was not in the Beyonce video, but was not included in this article, speaks volumes to the intent of the author of this piece.  Virtue signaling in action right here.

Big Freedia about the Beyonce situation:

As a Freedia fan I agree that this is an ongoing issue – However I also know that Big Freedia’s touring schedule is insane & has conflicted with other video shoots in the past. I think before jumping to conclusions about Kesha trying to suppress Big Freedia’s image let’s get the facts straight on the intention.

Godddddddd DAMMIT, now ‘Peanut Butter’ is gonna be cemented in my head the rest of the week. Granted, that happens all the time because I love that dumbass song, but still I curse thee!

I really want to stress that I *hate* the concept of landlords (god even the title is evil) and do not jeer at anybody who has faced eviction. My family has been there, friends have been there, I myself had a landlord dissolve a lease due to late payments. I’m just *baffled* that this lady thinks it’s bc of her paint

I still don’t know what an art monster is.

She sounds like a handful as a tenant. I have a feeling that the eviction is unrelated.

She’s clearly being evicted for serially missing and late rent payments.

Just because your landlord let you be late 10 times doesn’t mean they can’t decide “no more” on the 11th time. I don’t understand what leg she thinks she has to stand on at all?
