This. People usually don’t get lung cancer after a month or a year of smoking either. Just because negative effects weren’t immediately apparent does not mean that vaping is safe.

Smoke if you want to smoke, vape if you want to vape (outdoors), but please don’t try and sell nicotine as the world’s most efficient multi-vitamin.

It also skips right over the fact that while teen smoking had almost been eradicated prior to the introduction of vaping/e-cigarettes, nearly 40% of high school seniors have vaped within the last year and the massive amount of nicotine ensure they are quickly addicted.

Exactly.

Links to these studies, if you don’t mind.

This. I developed a severe sinus and throat infection from vaping, which ruined my summer and resulted in repeat rounds of antibiotics to the point where I’m now worried about being resistant. And I’m a young person in otherwise great health. it turns out I had a bad reaction to propylene glycol, which is used in

“Unless we can figure out exactly why.”

Literally, you can’t bridge to not smoking anything? In 6 years?

but AMERICA, FREEDOOOOOM

That goes both ways - just cause it’s been better for you doesn’t make it better for all.  Good luck with your future lung cancer or pulmonary disease either way!

Thanks for sharing your highly scientific, unbiased report on a study of one (1) person.

There is this quote that is just so apt a response. Unfortunately I can’t recall where I saw it, so I can’t cite it properly, but if I remember correctly it was something like, “plural of anecdote is not ‘data’.” Damn, I wish I

Amazing that you don't see the irony in your comment.

Vaping uses higher levels of nicotine than in a normal cigarette. It’s easier to use it more frequently and every time they do because they are now HIGHLY ADDICTED TO NICOTINE, they are aspirating oils. I can’t believe nobody thought this would be an issue sooner. I’m sorry about your friend, I hope for his recovery!

So, you believe whatever legal ingredients are in your vape are welcomed into your lungs? Your lungs are unharmed and getting better than what they would be  (not in comparison to effects of smoking)?

The youth tobacco use rate has been on a downward trend for decades, until e-cigarettes became common. It increased by about 40% between 2017 and 2018.

I have been Juuling for years . . . Common sense would dictate that if vaping were so dangerous that we all need to stop vaping immediately, that people would have fallen sick before this summer.”

Tell that to my friend’s fiancee and his family....he is sitting in the hospital right this very second with a lung infection that won’t go away and is resisting all forms of antibiotic. He didn’t vape any blackmarket THC. He has been vaping, normally and legally for about 2 years.

I feel like if I don’t forward this on to ten friends, she will come after my family.

I am so confused...I need a whiteboard and an assortment of colored dry makers to figure this out.

When I was little I too thought she was a fellow light-skinned Black Jew like me.
