I mean, I can and do eat cucumbers, I just don’t find it particularly enjoyable.

“Anyone who doesn’t like Trump is a RINO / Liberal” is what usually comes out of the Trump thralls’ mouths.

Yes, I’m talking about the cucumbers being already blended in, which makes them impossible to get out.

What I have against cucumbers is that I don’t think they’re delicious. I mean, I like pickles, but cucumbers are one of the only relatively normal foods I just don’t like.

I like avocado a lot, but yeah, it doesn’t have to be in everything.

Funny, but the Democrats actually HAVE banned guns many times and attempted to do it many more. I mean, the Heller decision wouldn’t have even been a thing if the Democrats hadn’t first banned guns.

Counterpoint: the 1200 calorie diet works (if you’re trying to lose weight without exercising). It should not be used as a lifestyle diet though. Most young or middle-aged women will lose 1-1.5 pounds per week on 1200 calories, which is a reasonable and healthy weight loss rate. And it’s healthier to eat a little bit

Almost every place I’ve ever tried gazpacho in the US puts cucumbers in it, which makes it taste gross.  Please stop this.

The “leave it up to the states” argument is also bullshit, because many states are trying to ban people from leaving their state to get an abortion in another state, or to criminalize out-of-state people who try to help in-state people have an abortion.

Yeah, Taco John’s is solid, it’s been way too long since I’ve eaten there.

I’m saying I wouldn’t like it as much if it was crumbled strips of bacon. Having chunks of pork to bite into is one of the enjoyable parts of carbonara. If it was just crumbled bacon strips, you lose that, even if the rendered pork fat still is used in the sauce.

I take issue with the notion that NPD is treatable with therapy, at least in a practical sense. Most therapists would tell you that it isn’t. In order for therapy to work, the person would actually need to go to therapy and/or would actually need to believe that something was wrong with them that required therapy.

I could see using bacon instead of guanciale, especially non-smoked bacon. I wouldn’t even complain (much) if it was smoked bacon..... as long as it was chopped/diced. I’ve seen “carbonara” with crumbled strips of bacon in it, and that’s what I was referring to as rage-inducing.

Sorry, I can’t bring myself to understand why this looks bad for the ACLU or Heard.

I went to a bar in LOUISVILLE FUCKING KENTUCKY and ordered a Manhattan, and the bartender had no idea how to make one. I’m in arguably the bourbon capital of the world, and this guy doesn’t know how to make one of the top 3 most famous bourbon drinks that exist.

I don’t remember.  I never order boneless wings, but my wife doesn’t like bones, so she does sometimes.

I agree with you in principle, and that’s how I try to live my life.

I make it a point in life to try not to be a snob about anything, because snobs are annoying. I might think some things are trash, but I don’t trash other people’s tastes if they like those things.

It’s really odd, on the surface they act like they’re superior, but at the same time, they act just like someone with an inferiority complex would act.

Counterpoint - I’ve seen plenty of “boneless wings” that were ground chicken.
