Yeah, Dragon’s Milk is a good deal.  Lagunitas makes some bargain barrel aged beers too (their Willetized stout is pretty good).

OK, I understand. A lot of bitter-sensitive people haven’t tried a lot of beer, because as you said, hops taste bad to them.

“The end of the all-chicken-nugget kiddie menu.”

I like coffee with heavy cream! You only need to use a very, very small amount though. I also prefer half/half.

Delicious and..... expensive. I spend more money on stouts and barleywines between October and January than I used to spend on beer in a whole year before I started with that shit.

There are a billion types of beer out there that have barely any hop taste, you just need to try them. Try an English brown ale or a Belgian saison or trappist beer.

“If you don’t take your coffee black, you just don’t like coffee.” Yeah, I agree, that’s just stupid. Personally, I love bitter.  I often drink coffee black, although I prefer it with a little bit of cream. Same with espresso. But there’s nothing wrong with putting cream and/or sugar in it.

We do something similar, but a little different, also with cannelini beans. We cook it in a large pot.

I’m a Cubs fan.  There’s nothing negative you can tell me about St. Louis that I won’t believe and repeat.

This signature needs to be notarized.

I’ve never tried Limburger as an adult, and I really want to.  I tried it once as a teenager.  My uncle had some, and it was all I could do to force myself to take a bite.  It does not smell edible.  It smelled like someone with a severe foot odor problem took their shoe and filled it with a dog’s dirty bathwater.

Literally several people ask me if we have “fettuccine sauce”.... in St. Louis.

I’m going to refer to the bill at a restaurant as the “invoice” from now on.

There’s a vegetarian restaurant in Chicago called Bad Hunter, which I think is a fantastic name.

Tom and Jerrys are pretty popular where I grew up, and they do it slightly different from this. They use bourbon in addition to the brandy and rum, and they use the whipped egg whites as a topping.

I haven’t tried this recipe. I have had other eggnog recipes, some of which seem sort of close to this one, albeit without the sherry. I have tried other eggnogs with tequila, as well as brandy, rum, spiced rum, bourbon, scotch, and some others I can’t remember. In my experiences with these other eggnogs, brandy is

I’ve gotten SSSS one time, and it was great, relatively speaking.  I was late for my flight and told the TSA person that I needed to get through the very long security line quickly.  They put me in the SSSS line, and I was through the hour-long security line in probably 10 minutes flat.  It was a little awkward, but I

I’m sure this stuff would be better if you replaced the tequila with brandy. Homemade eggnog is a tradition in my family, and I’ve tried every liquor, believe me. Brandy is by far the best, followed by dark rum and bourbon. Brandy just has a warm flavor that complements the spice flavors like cinnamon and nutmeg well.

Yeah, I’m normally a die-hard 20% tipper on everything, but I can’t get on board with a 20% tip for a dram of an expensive liquor. If I order a normal drink, I generally tip 20% on that, especially if it’s with my meal. But on the very rare occasion that I order something really pricey, I base my tip on 20% of the
