I wish AVC had reviewed Succession.

I caught on to TGP right away, but it ups it’s game, like you said, around the 4th or 5th episode. SUCH a great show. Doesn’t talk down to the audience. They deal with Chidi’s philosophy speak by basically saying, “Either you get it, or you don’t, and if you don’t, it’s cool, you can still follow.”

A little kid dropping a $100 DS is less costly than dropping a $300 console / portable hybrid. They won’t release much for it, but they’ll keep the DS going for another year at least and then drop it. Much like they did the WiiU.

AVC covers nearly everything HBO, especially dramas, I was shocked they didn’t cover it, even though I usually have issues with the hand-wringing reviewers on this site do, I like reading a professional writer’s take on what I’m watching.

Ryan calling Graham “grandad” was telegraphed in the first episode, and then when he called him that last week, it was, again, telegraphed. Then, this week, they sort of did it again, when he said he loved Graham.

Agreed 1000%. His writing is weak, and the other writers didn’t seem to fare much better. I don’t even have a favorite episode of the year.

If anything, this awful season proved you CAN have a female Doctor, because it was the one thing that I found worked perfectly. I knew Jodie from Broadchurch, and was immediately thrilled with her performance.

This whole season has been tonally weak. My wife and I love Jodie as The Doctor. If anything, the whole “a female Doctor” thing was one the bright, shining, near unanimous successes of the season. However...

Succession was a very good show. Too white and rich for AVC to cover outside of one episode, but nevertheless, it was very good. 

Issa Rae should host. Tiffany Haddish. Awkwafina. Maybe Micheal Harriot from The Root. Cameron Esposito busy? So many choices.

Except Hart did apologize in the past.

More white people from Chicago making more Trump jokes, and being painfully strident and preachy. I wonder why no one watches these jerk off fests anymore for rich people playing pretend.

I actually hope they keep the seasons the same length. Every season has been so good, and no filler.

That line about the dotted i was great, plus, it’s a great out for the writers should they ever never it.
