Happiness was so fucking terrible, though. Not because it was transgressive--in fact, the transgression seems to convince people it must be genius. It’s just got complete contempt for its characters, horribly awkward dialog and acting, and zero recognizable human behavior. 

Oh, it has to do with the quality of the show and that’s why you don’t like it? Funny, I remember the AV Club declaring it to be terrible and hoping it would never be seen by anyone before a minute of it had aired. So, I guess maybe she’s absolutely right because you had no idea if the show was good or not before…

Adams is in it and defending it, no big deal to me.

Uh... no. Most of us went into Happiness blindly, expecting something like Welcome to the Dollhouse. The disparity between the two movies was infuriating.

Definitely not a hallucination. The twist works because we had been set up to assume we were seeing another flashback of Barry’s. This is a time jump.

Whatever, I’ve listened to him for years, consider myself pretty fucking liberal, and never had a problem. He’s said so much shit that is actually is true, or fact checked, the one time he slipped all you righteous assholes swarm on him with your supposed wokeness. Chill the fuck out. 

He’s a good dude. He’ll admit when he’s wrong. He constantly fact checks on air and sometimes something gets away from him. He doesn’t double down on stupidity and get defensive. He’ll be fine.
