FYI, the sign was designed by awesome comic book artist Amy Reader, who is currently working on Rocket Girl for Image comics. Huzzah for ladies in comics and comics about ladies!

Yup! There were three books back in the nineties when when they were published. All three were collected in the volume I linked to above.

I was super into Greek mythology as a kid so I enjoyed that one.

I was quite the Christopher Pike fan as a kid and at one point owned 50 of his books. Not an exaggeration. Fall Into Darkness is a solid mystery story but I wouldn't classify it as a good representation of his horror books. I'd recommend the following instead if you want something scary:

Korra expresses my feelings about this twaddle quite well.

I would love a "Training to be Earth-2 Catwoman" shirt, because she WAS Batman's/Bruce's wife for many years, long enough for their daughter to be near adulthood. And while yes, she did die a tragic death, it was due to Catwoman stuff rather than Batman stuff. Of course, Batman died too not long after.

Utena has been my favorite anime series since, say, 1999. Still holds up and like you said, there's something new on every viewing.

When I was nine years old, I thought it was my fault my grandfather had died (had a cold when I went and saw him when he was on immunosuppressant drugs, he died of pneumonia a short time later). It really messed me up and I thought I should die because I killed someone I loved very much. So I'm imagining this girl is

I actually cook toast in a frying pan after I make bacon. Theoretically, it's to help clean some of the excess grease out of the pan but I mostly do it because it's delicious.

Also A Different World!

While I'm white, I also grew up watching most of these shows and it's depressing that there's such a major lack of representation on the air these days. Not only for people to see themselves the way you did as a kid, but for white kids to be exposed early on to the idea that people who don't

Depends on the person. A lot more women in the industry these days and a lot more dudes who have a clue.

Christopher Pike >>> R.L. Stine. Never read a Fear Street book that scared me, although I did enjoy some of them in a fluffy way (especially the Cheerleader and historical trilogies). Pike on the other hand had at least three or four books that terrified me and even more that made me cry. Actual emotional connection

That's terrifying. I'm so sorry you went through that and have those "what ifs?" to consider.

When I first moved to LA, I had the experience of a cop almost pulling a gun on me. Long story short, I was waiting for police to arrive after calling 911 over a potentially stolen car and an officer who was not the ones sent to meet me showed up first. When I went over to talk to him, he put his hand on his gun and

I've always described my manner of dance as "awkward white girl dancing". I don't know if Reese Witherspoon has out-awkwarded me but I'm pretty sure she out-whited me.

One of the major issues that I hope they fix is that now, only the person who is directly being attacked can report a user for abuse. Nothing like watching one of your good friends receive vile rape threats from someone who know where her place of employment is and not being able to do anything about it, even

You should make a like of greeting cards: "CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR SKIN BABY! :D"

"Skin baby" is my new favorite phrase.

Being on the internet isn't an option for a lot of people. Zelda works in entertainment, and social media is a key part of that type of career now. Of course right now she has more important things to deal with in her personal life, but the possibility of not being able to connect with her audience in the future can

Just looked up this story and holy hell. There has to be something very wrong in your head to see the kids you're telling to kill themselves as "not real". Good on the woman for being willing to cut him out of her life at such a vulnerable time.
