It’s obvious they took pains to be respectful. Accusing a family of misgendering from a single statement of grief is a little much.

Totally guessing here, but Alexis probably identified for a time as a woman and then identified as something else. It’s not all binary, and based on the tone and text of Richmond Arquette’s statement, he was using the pronouns Alexis wanted.

I looked it up and apparently, David stated on Kocktails with Khloe that Alexis stopped referring to themselves as as trans and said that they were gender suspicious and used male or female pronouns based on how they were dressed. I imagine that the choices in the statement were purposeful and respectful of Alexis’…

One certainly hopes that’s the gender Alexis recently told the family Alexis identified with. Otherwise, that would suck.

Maybe Alexis identified as co-gender at the end? That would explain the doubled pronouns.
