The main advantage of RAM is allowing you to work on more things simultaneously as well as allowing the OS to keep more things in memory so you can access they easily as opposed to when they're written to disk. If you're a hardcore multitasker, maxing out your RAM is still the way to go IMO.

I used to like the idea of a "time-centric" workout, but for various reasons, I now focus on performing a number of sets/reps (except in cases of workouts that MUST be done in a fixed amount of time).
