Yeah I’m weird like that and document every thing with this current car I own. Yes that is a huge stack of receipts dating back 3 and a half years in that little book of mileage.

I get receipts for everything, always, because I trust no one. I’m also extremely well-adjusted and not at all constantly on high alert.
Fuck cancer.
This must be a sign for me. My 6MT 2005 TL just got totaled and I’m looking to get an NA 6MT 4 door - and I’ve had my eye on a TSX as of late!
Mine’s a 2006 and only 143,000 miles. Runs great, standard replacement parts like pads, filters, tires, etc. Had one rear hub/bearing assembly dry out, replaced both in a casual afternoon session for under $200. Door lock actuator for passenger side is reluctant (can these be relubed?). That’s it.
Man, there are some snobs in the comments here! Or maybe I just think that because I also have a 2005 200,000-mile 6MT Acura, haha.
Yes but the TSX is a lovely car. Panther platform cars are cool and all but speaking from personal experience the TSX was basically perfect in every way when it came out.
Eh, I have a 2007 TSX approaching 200k miles. Just finally needed to replace all that about 20k miles ago. They were all original parts. I replaced with all OEM parts again. Thinking I should hit 300k no problem.
She’ll be writing for Business Insider. Only reason I know was because of a comment someone made on a piece she did a few weeks ago, and then looking up her Twitter
Goodbye and I wish you the best. I really enjoyed so much of what you have written and your weekend motorsport coverage was something I always looked forward to.
The new systems literally will NOT recognize components, unless a John Deere Representative comes out and runs their recognition USB key to unlock the tractor.
This would be like if you needed to change the brakes on your car and could only go to the dealership, because the moment you removed the wheel, the engine…
I think the problem isn’t just ‘needing a computer’. If I remember right, it’s like dealer only diagnostic tools with cars. It’s that it has to be a Deere authorized mechanic with a proprietary set of hardware that they won’t sell you, and you can’t just use any old laptop.
Yeah, here’s a quote from one of the earlier…
You missed the “at the wheels part”, my WRX was tuned to the limits of the stock turbo and injectors (the class I competed in for autox required I keep those stock). “Stages” are marketing gimmicks that don’t have any real meaning, but my WRX would have been a “stage 2+” since I had upgraded the headers, full exhaust,…
The Mustang, Camaro, 3 series and Vette all cost more. And the Miata is not faster than a BRZ
Actually I did test drive mine on a curvy road and the salesman encouraged me to speed. Probably why I bought it. Nothing else near it’s price range feels that sporty.
Just last week, I helped a friend drop a refreshed motor into his 250k mile IS300 that he tracks and autocrosses, surprised to hear that yours didn’t work out at the track. I’m more surprised to hear of someone who didn’t enjoy the S2000 and BRZ on track, your local track must be a power course. When I’ve run at…
Most of the interweb critics have never owned or even driven a BRZ. The internet brings out a lot of armchair experts and bench racers. The issue with the BRZ is that people expect it to have Corvette power. It’s not that kind of car. Think of it as a hardtop Miata. Because that’s what it is.
Sounds about right, I just went to the VW website to check MSRP’s (that’s where I got the $10k). The GTI is slightly more expensive than a similarly equipped BRZ and both are great cars, but they are fundamentally different cars. Which you choose is less about the cars themselves and more about what you want them to…
I’ve got a friend with an E36 M3 and our cars are very close on acceleration. Just sounds like this isn’t the type of car for you, nothing wrong with that.
Slow compared to what? I have a 2014 BRZ and I’ve been tracking and autocrossing it since I bought it new. Whenever I give someone a ride they are amazed at how competent and fast it is on the track. The car isn’t for straight lines or stoplight drag races, it’s an amazing performance car in the same vein as a Miata.
