Yeah— we’ve got an ‘05 (WRX) that we adore. And want a bugeye wagon to go with it! (and an extra ‘05, and, well… we’d need a really big garage if we had our way!)

It’s hard to keep ‘em stock for that long, at least when you’re not in the desert. Our ‘05 was stock, then mostly stock as of a couple years ago when the radiator started leaking and there was a random leak somewhere in the coolant lines (a Koyorad as it was cheaper and won’t leak and silicon hoses to get rid of the

It’s not even overly exciting for a Civic, other than being an Si… It’s not even a special era like those early 90s ones like my uncle had. I gotta say though, this one is making Barrett-Jackson’s look sane…

A small piece shot out of, apparently, a hose on the other side of the intercooler (which is also a WTF), so it didn’t stop it all…

No kidding— I’m blown away it could pull a rag from that far!

It’s an odd thing to say, but I hope she *did* collaborate at least somehow… It’s sad enough things ended the way they did, but to have ended purely because of a baseless and possibly false accusation out of spite? That’s beyond tragic…

Yeah— I’ve never figured out how you haven’t ripped the lip off yet! :P Doesn’t Chicago get the heavy, wet snow too? Then again, ours is the baby of our three… (though I have been taking it on it’s Blizzaks over my FWD on all seasons during the past few snows :D Only problem I’ve had is I end up having to roll the

Love it!! That’s headed our way, though our BRZ might have to wait a bit as it’ll apparently be about 10" of heavy, wet snow… (we’ll even have to shovel for our WRX to get out with that much :( )

No kidding. Last couple snow storms, we were actually taking our WRX to drop off for some work to be done (odd timing :D )— I drove our BRZ on it’s Blizzaks over my TSX on all seasons. I was doing better than the SUVs and Trucks. I know I grew up hearing about having to put bags of cement in the trunk, but the BRZ is

That was the car of my parents’ they let me drive when I got my license. A dark green one. Can’t recall what year… ‘74?? It was before it got way slow (like the one my grandma had, yikes…). I did my first fishtail in that car, and have been doing them when I can ever since. :)

I taught my then boyfriend (now husband) how to drive a manual— and *did* mention the clutch feel. :) It’s also the first time I saw a car with a Shift Light… I greatly berated said stupid shift light and taught him to ignore it and just listen to the car. I consider that my greatest lesson! Stupid shift lights… I

Oklahoma toll road. Husband was driving along and came upon yet another batch of the near-constant construction, likely only broken up by speed traps. There was a “speed reduced ahead sign” and it went from like 55 to 35 in maybe half a dozen car lengths. He took his foot off the gas at the sight of the “reduced” sign

Rebooting worked for me. My question mark is on the far right, but it works now!

My uncle used to be a brakeman and engineer for Southern Pacific and then Union Pacific in that zone. I’d mention this article to him, but he’s since retired… and this might give him nightmares :P (not so much the “ghost” part, but he really hated his job…)

My husband’s grandfather used to do the refueling in the KC135. As he always likes to describe his job, he used to “lay down and pass gas.” :D

Wow! And I’d say “poor Strange-Richard” as you may have been his first company in some time, but also… yeah… I can see why you guys fled…

Wow, yeah… I80 SUCKS through Iowa… I haven’t encountered that particular oddity, to that extreme anyway, but do pretty much always get stuck behind trucks who decide to pass right before a hill. And have to constantly move to the right lane, or just continue along “passing on the right” because NOBODY WILL GET THE

Oh man, I’m so sorry for you *and* your friend. You did everything you could, and then some. I hope your friend is ok too, as he was the one waiting with them while you tried to get help to them.

One of my strangest was actually meeting a Forestry officer guy in the middle of nowhere New Mexico… and there wasn’t a tree in sight… Just seemed a bit odd :P

Ugh… coolant… Draining it is crazy easy, we had to do that a few times before the last time with one of our car’s new radiator. We get about 3/4 of it back in and, well, it’s essentially bulimic… Thankfully we’ve got one of the funnels that clamps on as it’ll be going along and then all of a sudden barf out a whole
