I’m kind of surprised by the lack of urgency from the two people who climbed out of the burning Lamborghini. Why are they not running around more frantically, especially after someone hands them a fire extinguisher? Are they veterans to burning Lamborghinis?

My only guideline is don’t make somebody go out on actual roads in a stick when you’ve literally had less than 1 hour behind the wheel of a moving car… Literally… my parents never even let me sit on their lap or move the cars in the driveway…

Or nobody in your life will let you trash their transmission learning on it ;) (we’ve had friends ask us… we didn’t trust them enough :P )

Or at least don’t make them leave the parking lot too soon!

Our SCCA used to get to use an outdoor kart track occasionally for AutoX. That was a blast! Though I spun out into the infield in our WRX trying to keep it on one tight corner… I still blame the crappy stock tires we still had and that the cone should have been to the outside of the track, not inside… (I *almost* had

Everyone needs a Rally car. Or at least a car they can rally…

I grew up in Arizona (in an area hotter than Phoenix). Some mornings I’d make one of those packets of oatmeal before school, but not quite finish it all, so I’d take the bowl with me, sometimes still not finishing it all by the time I got back. It was always very cookie-like when school was out…

I adore the auto-dimming on mine as it doesn’t distort the distance-appearance of cars behind me like the older flip mirrors do. Even though I grew up with flip mirrors, it’s really weird getting into one of our other cars at night that doesn’t have the auto-dim and I have to remember that the perspective is all

Ew… Hoping that isn’t a thing on the TSXs too… (they’ve at least never mentioned it on the forums…)

We have a black, white (w/ black accents) and a dark grey. Though my (dark grey) car is metallic, and thus reflective, and thus generally looks more like the sky, and thus looks bluish… sigh… (it’s much prettier in a parking garage :P ). The white/black is a BRZ, and that’s partly because Subaru got rid of the

My 1G TSX has that (26" and 16") and they’re awesome. Well, they were until I got an aftermarket pair that leave a whole NEW huge triangle in the middle of the windshield… I need to remember to order some new OEM blades…

You definitely do as we’ve gotten him at least half a dozen sales from people we’ve referred to him. :)

You gotta figure they buy current mailing lists and some that are seriously outdated… so an ancient list off a vehicle registration list isn’t unheard of. My dad’s been dead probably 20 years, and my mom still gets junk mail for him… (not usually car offers, but other stuff… though he still gets his JC Whitney catalog

For our last new car purchase, our sales guy was like that. We did two test drives over about 9 months even. Very knowledgeable, very nice and didn’t pester us. When we decided exactly what we wanted, we accepted his first offer as it was quite fair, and he earned it.

We got seriously lucky when we bought our most recent 3 cars. We’re the types who take a while to buy, and do a LOT of research. And, I, personally, am incredibly resistant to pressure tactics (I despise one huge dealership to this day, 10 years later, because the sales guy kept trying to get my husband to buy the car

I taught my husband (then boyfriend) how to drive a manual…

XM… I then bounce between the 6 I listen to (it also makes NPR less annoying as you don’t have to keep finding it as you move out of a zone). This works for alone & with someone (like the 3 days of 10 hour out and back last year). When you get really bored, you start going channel by channel to see what else is out

Our Subarus, both built in Japan, are on the right and my Acura, also shipped from Japan, is on the left…

Yup. 2500 mile road trip last year and the inside was still great. The outside looked like I had massacred a small army due to all the bugs, but the inside just needed a light vacuuming… We had lots of coffee, but the husband is well aware of the rule (and mostly practices it in his car too), so no spillage.

Yeah… nobody ever mentioned that part to me… Even gladder I countered for Rally School for our “wedding honeymoon gift” from my mom over her offer of Hawaii as I know I didn’t see a single roach that entire trip… :x
