What about the neighbors? I hear that new-money neighbor, Gatsby, has the best parties.

I am overdue for my annual viewing of the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Yup. You essentially have two options in 2020: Either a luxo ride with more screens than they have information to put on them, or some rental-spec garbage that makes you want to die a Nissan.

Please don’t confuse ‘Revenue’ with ‘Profit’. Tesla made $105M in profit for Q4 2019, but lost $862M for the entirety of 2019 (which is less of a loss than previous years, so overall a good thing). Their quarterly revenue for Q4 was $7.3B.

The Nissan 370Z is screen-less, and has a manual option...  Sadly it exceeds your price point.  What about a Subaru BRZ or Toyota 86?  I don’t recall if those have screens, but they are getting old, so maybe not.

Kudos to you.  Keep buying them, Mazda needs all the sales they can get.

What!!! I didn’t know Mazda (as Toyo Kogyo) made motorcycles (possibly only 30 of them)... How can I get me one of those?

What is the maximum size of battery that can be charged overnight (maybe 10-12 hours) on a 40-amp 220v (U.S.) household circuit? As these things begin to pack larger and larger battery packs, I wonder if (or when) we’ll hit a point that they can’t be topped up completely at home overnight.

You are not alone. I also don’t purchase individual stocks, mostly for two reasons. 1) I don’t have the time (or interest) to evaluate them. 2) Ever since online trading became cheap and easy in the last 25 years, the ‘shiny new things’ are way overpriced due to idiots who don’t know how to evaluate the actual health

have you seen the paint upcharges from other brands? These are downright reasonable....  However I agree, why do they charge extra for the only two good colors.  I hate the Mazda color palette.

Yes! If it maintains RWD, I would buy one every day of the week. I remember early on in the BRZ/86 life there were rumors of a family of cars built on that platform and I was excited, then nothing happened and I cried.

No, but my car barely slows down anymore either (2017 Civic Si).  I miss the days of real engine braking...

Are the mustaches required to get the top off?

1st Gear: Theoretically BEV’s should be cheaper than ICE vehicles in the long run. The simplicity of the electric motors and transmissions (if any) and lack of a years-long development process should offset the added unit cost of the batteries.

Finally a path to profitability for Uber and Lyft...

Reverse: wait, John Dodge is dead? Who is that guy I saw on TV last week trying to show me how cool the Charger and Challenger cars are (but definitely not a Journey)? Is he back as a Force-ghost?

Nice reference to the twin-turbo TDI!  Yup, that second turbo made a big difference, but was also $$$$

I’ll challenge this somewhat. My sister had a 2002 Acura RSX Type-S which had a 2.0L engine making 200hp (which I had the good fortune to autocross and drive on a track a few times when she felt like slumming it in my 2003 Mazdaspeed Protege). So on the surface, a 2.0L in 2019 making 20hp less looks unimpressive. I

Mazda stopped offering the 2.0L engine in the CX-5 for 2017 so all of the gas options that remain (2.5L or 2.5L Turbo) get worse mileage than the older 2.0's. Meaning that the Diesel gets you to about (maybe slightly beyond) where the older Sport (or any 2.0L) models used to be, for a lot more $$.

The Cherokee is in the hottest segment and competes against the likes of the CR-V, CX-5, Forester, RAV4, Rogue, Tiguan, and other vehicles that are more practical, affordable (why are Jeep products so expensive?), efficient, newer, and appealing to many buyers. The Trailhawk can offroad, but the other trims have no
