I hope you don’t take this the wrong way, but...that sounds like a you problem, not a device problem.

I’m so with you. Reading most of these comments, I keep wanting to ask if they want a free pony too.
I hope you understand, that’s not normal for electric cars. You got a lemon.
“Hot rodding” electric cars can be as simple as tweaking software, assuming said software will let itself be tweaked. Most of the limitations on power and performance that current EVs have is done electronically. They program it to stay well within safe limits to avoid overstressing the batteries and motors, but those…
As one of young whippersnappers currently making a mess of your lawn, I agree with all of this.
It wouldn’t have to be slower. Making an EV faster is a piece of cake - just program the computer to send an assload of amps through the motor. If necessary, get a bigger motor. Even a 600hp Tesla drive unit takes up very little physical space.
Almost any EV will give you that kick back in the seat. Even my old-ass Leaf is pretty quick for what it is.
“plugging it in every day IS a bigger hassle than filling it up with gas once a week.”
Most classic car conversions have manual transmissions. The driving experience is a little bit different from a gas manual, but still awesome.
We already have one: the SAE J1772 plug. The only EVs that don’t use it are Teslas in some markets, and even those can still use it with an adapter.
I have no complaints with the way cars actually function, but I do wish they’d stop trying so hard to make them seem “different” and “futuristic”. Tesla is particularly guilty of this, especially with the ultra-minimalist Model 3 interior. Give me knobs, dammit!
Got me there. 10/10 chuckle.
It’s r/wooosh for me then.
I clocked mine at 8.7 seconds 0-60, and it feels a lot quicker than that because all the torque is down low.
“where 0-60 is measured with a calender”
All of these are good options, but my first impulse was just to suggest a bigger Mini.
I know. I’m referring to the car from Tokyo Drift.
You must be fun at parties.
The 260 was optional in 64.5. It was replaced by the 289 in 65.
I like both. Are we allowed to like both?
