There’s also the fact that over-designed cars just end up looking ugly, thus attracting fewer customers. To be elegant, you must first be simple.

First of all, I love this design. I have just two quibbles:

If it doesn’t come with the option for wood trim, someone needs to make a decal kit for it, because that is just glorious in every way. As soon as I saw it, I swear I heard a choir of angels singing Foreigner’s 1984 hit I Want To Know What Love Is. It’s that good (and it looks like it’s from that era, which is not

Juice, my friends. Juice is where it’s at.

Actually, yeah. $kay is still one of my favorite commenters, but I don’t really miss the award posts.

I’m glad Axl has cleaned up his act lately, but I still think he was the wrong choice for AC/DC. He doesn’t do the band justice, and he ruins otherwise good performances with his mediocre-at-best singing.

Kid Rock can fuck right off. Why is anyone still paying attention to this asswipe?

Man, Amtrak has really gone to shit lately.

Now I’m stuck pondering the significance of the one untouched chocolate bar.

Still has a gas engine. Not a true EV.

It’s not bad, but I liked the old front-end styling better.

I always had a bit of a beef with the Volt - it was advertised as an electric car, but it was really just a plug-in hybrid. The whole concept felt dishonest, especially trying to compete with actual electric cars like the Leaf.

Somewhere, Mahk is laughing maniacally.

I like this, but not being road-legal kind of makes it impractical for most people. If I buy a brand new vehicle, I’m gonna be using it as a car. I can see this being useful for people who live on huge ranches, but that’s a fairly small market compared to the number of people who would otherwise buy used Jeeps.

Yeah....but if you pay 15 grand for a vehicle, you’re gonna want to be careful with it anyway. You don’t have to abuse an off-road vehicle to have fun with it.

I’m thankful for the Nissan Leaf.

I wonder if there will be an electric version based on the Kona Electric?

for some reason I read “mfr’s” as “motherfuckers”

I’ve seen so many Corollas of that generation on steelies that for a while I honestly forgot they ever came with hubcaps.

A friend of mine in high school had a ‘94. I remember me and another friend crawling alongside the car with a flashlight, trying to peer underneath as he rolled forward to try and diagnose a weird noise. Everything was fine until he stepped on the brake and it emitted an unearthly scream. Good times.
