Yeah....that bumper is going to be illegal in most jurisdictions and will likely leave you uninsured I’m those where it isn’t flat out illegal.

I would expect it will be a combination of gov regulation, gov incentives and free market demand.

Hey, I hear ya....I’m building out in Brookswood because I value space (specifically garage space) more than hitting trendy cafes and yoga studios.

But at the same time, when I compare Vancouver to NYC, LA, London, Paris, Hong Kong, etc. (all cities with similar international appeal) we are actually a bargain.

Expo

Nah, there are tonnes of two bedrooms in Vancouver proper for the $500-600k range.

Are they in Kits or Yale Town? No, but you can still buy a place in the city for pretty reasonable (or just move south of the Fraser like most are right now).

The average age of residential multi-tenant buildings in Vancouver is many deca

Bravo to you and that dealership but it is an extreme outlier.

Even so, how many could quote the maintenance schedule of a given vehicle over the phone, on the spot, with out referring to a product guide or owners manual?

It’s still far more than most jurisdictions are doing so far. Vancouver is also quiet different than other major metro areas...buildings as new as the 1980's are routinely torn down for new construction.

Besides, I don’t think there is any legislative mechanism where cities can force private home owners to install EV

Most cities around here (Vancouver, BC) now require at least rough-in wiring for an EV charger with every home built.

The city of Vancouver has gone even further:

Most sales people can’t answer detailed questions about any of their models. I have never been on a lot shopping where I didn’t know vastly more than the sales person about the car I was looking for. These guys/gals float dealer to dealer and rarely stay up on current/detailed product info. They know a few highlights

Pull the stats for boat/RV/snowmobile/dirt bike sales and come back and tell me how everyone who drives a truck is just doing it because they have a small dick (which was your long meander point in the end right?)

Oh, and maybe the trades people who buy it as a work and personal use vehicle...it seems like it was

It can also be an indication of a cheap ass station owner.

How about selling a car they didn’t own?

I put down a deposit and signed a bill of sale for a GTI only to find out the VIN they used was for a car they were still trying to get it in on dealer trade. Once the other dealer refused they tried a bait and switch to a lower spec model but for the same price. Suffice to say

Moments like these remind me that Jalopnik started prioritizing their writers being hipsters over car guys/gals about 4-5 years ago.

I dunno...my lightly modded ‘88 foxbody with 250hp, no ABS, no traction control, live rear axel and <3,000lbs was way more of a handful than by boss’s 992 (as long as you don’t turn off the nanny’s...)

I never said it was....but new car reviews have been somewhat of a pillar since it’s start so for them all of a sudden to vanish without explanation is a little odd don't you think?

Since Jan 1 TheDrive has reviewed:

Most reviews the manufacturer delivers the vehicle to the tester (look back at old Jalop reviews....most start with “ford dropped it off with a full tank of gas...”

To summarize: you don’t own it but you have first right of refusal on the buy out and why the heck would you not buy out a vehicle for $45k that is selling for $55k? Please explain....

You must not have done much leasing. It is extremely common to buy out the lease to recover the equity. You would be dumb not to.

Trumplikins are about 40% of the party. Another 40% tolerate him because their GOP rep/Sen tells them to and 20% are never Trumper’s.

So really, we’re talking about <30m Americans (or about 9% of the population) that need de-programing. And they certainly do...have you seen these lunatic cult followers?
