I challenge you to tell me what percentage of murders in the U.S. were committed with "AK47s, machine guns and assault rifles" as you say.
Congrats!! Wonder if this inspired him:
Not a bad bargain! A lot of people dumped 1D3's for the 1D4 since they added video to it, so that was a compelling upgrade. If you don't need video, you get to save a bit of $$.
They did, but it took about a year before they acknowledged the problem and even longer to fix it. The 1D Mark III was regarded as Canon's "lemon", and many shooters skipped purchasing it.
Quite true! I think Canon USA breathed a sigh of relief when Rob Galbraith decided to take a step back website recently...what a thorn in their side.
Except for the 1D Mark 3 =D
Most photography with supertelephotos is done pretty close to wide open, or within 2 stops of it. Closing from f/4 to f/5.6 on a 600mm lens really doesn't buy you much depth of field...or not enough at least that you can be sloppy on focus.

Looks a bit like this.
Nice shot! Technically though, 617 shots (or at least Fuji's GX617) are on 120 or 220 medium format film, not large format.
Gah! The [blink] tag comes out!
From the link about "the antenna", seems it doesn't work in the 5Ghz band (the newer model does, but not the one shown in the picture). So, if you're at the games, only set up a 802.11a/n hotspot on 5Ghz, and you're good to go...for now.
So the embedded video above is a re-edit of Red Bull's video from August 2010, featuring the same content:
The GPS telemetry equipment probably transmits results back via commercial cellular systems (EDGE/LTE/UMTS/whatever). That's what's overloaded. From the article:
