On a car that old a broken speedo and odometer is probably just the speedo gear. Even if it isn’t, it is very unlikely it’s some crazy computer module that requires a ton of diag. You could probably play swaptronics and still be way under $200 on the fix.
And you get the bi-polar combination of a reliable Toyota engine with horrible English electronics.
