I don’t understand. I enjoy my freedom. I don’t ride a bike nor drive a giant diesel truck. But if that makes you happy, whatever. So, why would I intentionally do something stupid and dangerous to someone that enjoys something that doesn’t bother or hurt me?

This very morning, cycling along minding my own business in the bike lane. Stop at a red light. Guy pulls up at the light and shouts “fag”. Nobody else in the car to “impress” - just a weird hatred of people getting some exercise.

Pilots - and the FAA - take all this incredibly seriously. This guy was getting roasted within a day of posting his video. Granted he didn’t exactly plan the crime of the century here.

Yeah, it’s way more serious than driving without a license, and you’re much more likely to get caught.

There are a few Federal laws he may have violated, some felonies. Damaging Govt Property over $1000 (cleanup fees and response), Clean Water Act if any fluids got in water, RCRA if any oil or battery wreckage remained.

Just how much money did he expect to earn from this one plane crash video? Any currently inspected and flyable plane has to be deep in the 5 figures at least. I don’t see how you could come close to breaking even. Or did he also do an insurance scam too?
