My aunt was a left-foot braker, it worked terrible all of the time but especially when she tried to panic-stop and instead mashed both pedals. She smacked into a wall of traffic on the 405, then claimed someone must have rear-ended her into them despite no rear end damage on the car she had borrowed from my mom.

All touch-screen interfaces are unsafe, and have become an opportunity for manufacturers to cut costs.

My hill to die on is that I’ll always choose revs over outright speed. GT3 > Turbo S, 458 > 488, etc.

This may have been roughtly 51% of the reason I purchased a C5 Corvette; I needed the newest car I could get with pop ups and a Lotus Esprit wasn’t cutting it (which ironically in it’s dying days used the same hardware as C5 Corvettes that Lotus secured from GM).

I dunno, there are plenty of refineries in the Bay Area, and last I checked they’re rounding $6/gallon.

Tell that to the poor who tend to drive more and have older vehicles which get worse mileage. My gardener sure as fuck is having a harder time “sucking it up”.

Man I wish my Jeep actually got the mileage that it advertised, that’d be super nice.

At the same time, most states with tollways are doing away with toll attendants. Everyone is capable of pumping their own gas, and especially now, aren’t there plenty of other and possibly better jobs available?

The irony is that this weekend I saw the highest gas prices of my lifetime and saw my first Buggati Veyron on the road in my city.
