Agreed. The Aztek was one of the first SUVs that aimed for quirky design but landed on ugly, but all the toasters and the Juke are uglier by a solid margin...And the Buick design was weirdly bland and offensive at the same time.

That looks like the Vice City version of a Countach

This is what irks me about BEVs. I feel like it also punishes people who live in rural areas, and arguably would most benefit the environment with electric vehicles, by pricing the highest range models so expensive as to make them unattainable.

The only thing this guy has going for him is the orange color. If this is the color you want (I personally love orange cars and would love to see one of these in person), Chevy is dumping this color this year, I believe. So, if this color is a must-have for you, you will almost certainly be dealing with some dude like

I’d like to say I’m surprised that manufacturers treat stick shifts like a penalty even in an enthusiast car like the bronco. But I’m not. Pairing a manual with only the base engine, and cheap trim levels, or weirdness like this is exactly why it’s so rare.

I was idly browsing Subaru website,  and they still advertise a stick on the 21 crosstrek. Whether you can ever find one,  that's another story, I'm sure.

I’m an efficient backer-in as well. I can back in quickly, and I almost always park further away, so I’m not fighting with traffic to get in our out.

ND - IT BELONGS IN A MUSEUM!!

Agreed. Even as a guy that likes Vettes, I have a hard time being interested in any C3, but who hates on a GTO??

AND      GON E R

Pennsylvania, home of one of the highest gas tax rates in the country, wanted to get ahead of EVs, and charges 175 annual registration for EVs.

Holy shit, I didn’t even know I wanted that, but I like everything about that order. I’ll take one as well, please!

The article never said, nor even implied that every Tesla fan/owner is a raving Stan. Any car with any sort of following will develop a “sort of joking / sort of not” joke that defines them.

Oddly, it is the opposite. I use a network ad blocker (pi-hole),  so browsing with no tracking yields all the sex toy ads on jalopnik.

Because they can't figure out how to stuff a HEMI into it.

I live in a rural area, and I know most people around here simply do not have any interest in BEV cars. The range anxiety is just too high. I think FCEV is a great middle ground that is still getting cars off of fossil fuels, especially as they are making real strides in clean ways of “making” hydrogen.

Pennsylvania has among the highest gas tax in the nation, and our infrastructure is shit. Government can - and do! - mismanage funds in a thousand ways.

Don’t forget the Suburban!

My dad sounds so similar....down to the “255 air conditioner”. (He was partial to 2 doors, and we lived in the country with 55 mph roads). He was a mechanic in an alignment shop for many years. He wouldn’t even use WD-40 in a garage environment. I remember as a kid, him arguing with his father comparing it to WD-40,

I’ve also watched my dad torch a nut, break it lose, and use Blaster to cool it back off.
