I mean, what car manufacturer hasn’t gotten burned by bad vendor at some point? Look at Takata airbags.. That was just so widespread that it was the Takata airbag problem, not the Honda airbag problem.

The biggest thing is not expecting the brakes to not be there. You can stop in a car without power assist, but it's going to take a lot more time and distance. Not the two car lengths you were expecting it to as you pull up to the red light.
Underrated comment. Tesla builds great power trains, but not great cars. Their long term survival is based on them getting their build quality up to par before all those companies that already build good cars can get the electric power train figured out.
I mean, the world has always sucked. It’s front and center these days with the whole existential threat of a deadly and still unkillable virus, the world wide economic hit that the resulting shutdown has caused, and wild fires in California burning so hot for so long that the smoke is turning the east coast hazy.
Taking two parking spots is such bullshit. For a few years, I worked in a place with one of those flatnosed Mitsubishi box trucks. That thing would fit in any single parking space I tried it. Anyone who can’t get their bro-dozer into a normal parking spot is either a terrible driver who cannot handle a large vehicle,…
It is surprising. given that every Dodge they sell is on that platform, that the Magnum didn’t continue on in life. I always thought it was the most interesting car of this series of cars.
Rigidity and unwavering at all seems to be what it’s like to work in a union shop.
I’ll go full Nostalgia and get one of these so I can use the cassette adapter for my discman.
I agree. That is a total Karen.
My grandfather had an 88 Toyota Cressada. That thing felt like a Bond car with the ridiculous amount of buttons for all of the features the car had to offer.
The glorious combination of a British roadster and a CJ-7...
This particular car is too much for too little, but it makes me sad that VW stopped selling 2 door Golfs.
That’s one of the reasons it was great when newish cars still needed aftermarket radios. It was a relatively quick and easy way to upgrade your car and make it your own.
So Jag has been delivering electric cars for fully two years and I’ve never seen one on the street.
It can’t compare with cars of the 50s and 60s, but I am partial the Grand Am GT font, and I really liked the way the GT connected. It looked cool without trying too hard.
90s GM cars just HAD to tell you the engine size and, for some reason, ABS, on the back decks of every sedan.
These things are boring looking and probably somewhat boring to drive. My coworker has one exactly like this one, except without the sticker mania. It is a pretty solid car for him. He had a few problems under warranty, I forget what they were. Suspension parts, not electrical drivetrain parts. It does a good job…
My cousin was the biggest Neon proponent I knew, rocked an RT for a long time. Eventually, even he had to concede they were total shitboxes. In my area at least, late 90s GM J-bodies are still tooling around, sure they look like hell at this point, but I can’t tell you when I last saw a Neon on the road.
Same here. I’ve had my TJ since ‘06. Jeeps are getting a lot more popular in my region with JK and JL, but they are mostly moms enjoying summer days with the hardtop on and the AC cranked and stupid aftermarket LED lights. Not really seeing any political signage on them.
I have an ‘03 Jeep and at the top of the year, I bought an ‘06 Subaru Outback as a new daily driver.
