Seems unlikely, given both the Pro-Ukrainian statements by their players (in Russia) and the fact that FIFA and every network would have cummed all over themselves at an England/France final. Ukrain

and i am in the greys???????????????

He’s just the basketball coach. Why would you expect him to have any control over who plays on the basketball team? That’s just crazy talk.

As a resident of the Twin Cities, would it be considered improper to look up Pitino’s address so I could literally go shit on his lawn?

This picture looks like Incognito is forcing Sir Patrick Stewart to give him a blowjob.

Carlisle does not have the power to intimidate ESPN and historical experience would suggest he really doesn’t care if they criticize coaches so long as they do so with a modicum of professionalism.

But the thing is an “overreaction”, that when compared with previous behavior in a similar situation, maybe shouldn’t be interpreted as the definitive final word on how someone really feels about something.

Let’s look at the actual track record.

He’s definitely touching on the issue of legitimacy, and I don’t know that he’d really care if Ball weren’t such an extreme caricature.

Printing an article where the father of an NBA player has an opinion that is printed as anything like legitimate erodes trust

I think this is a pretty ignorant understanding of what Carlisle said. If the ESPN were not broadcasting NBA games, they never would’ve cared what the individual in question said. The broadcast partnership you insist should have no effect on their journalistic coverage in fact has a deformative effect on it.

It was like when Larry Brown won an NBA title with the Pistons in 2004. He deserves credit for it but the person who really got the Pistons in position was Rick Carlisle (who like Dungy won a title later). Carlisle (like Dungy) took a really bad team and built them into a contender.

Interesting. I’ve been in the tax business and all is was thinking was “ boy o boy that’s a lot of people who need help filing their returns. I hope they all get the right advice”

Somebody should roll in here with a supercut of Lebron James offensive fouls that were never called.

This is why I find basketball basically unwatchable. It feels like the refs play too large a part in a lot of games. What is considered a foul is so subjective it seems, as it varies from game to game. Also, the league is so biasly star-driven, that its impossible for a team without any name brand stars to beat a

Don’t worry (the fans of whichever team loses will bitch and moan and act like 0 calls went in their favor the entire game)

Holy shit, i think the guy is great. I don’t think their is a single athlete I hate enough to write that kind of rant about, but then again I’m an adult and realize it’s just a game.

I see what you’re saying, but on the whole, LeBron gets a pretty significant benefit from the reffing in the league, so I don’t feel too bad for him.

Reach-in could have been called, block looked clean to me

Can you ask your basketball source how come LeBron gets to travel every time he touches the ball as if he were Le’Veon Bell waiting for the hole to develop?
