Surprised they didn’t accuse him of breaking in and hanging up photos of his family, and then sprinkle some crack on him.

If he were to get a better fitting look, it would be a tacit admission that the former look wasn’t good, and that can’t happen in his head.  Everything he does is great, has always been great, will always be great.  Probably the same reason he won’t fix his hair.

I have done a ton of ballet and modern (with just enough talent to keep me going but not enough to do much) and I really believe that dancing, ballet particularly, is the most punishing and physically demanding thing a person can do, and I’m including any kind of sport in that.
