Ooh, interesting point: I was commenting on something on Buzzfeed today, and someone said/implied that 'trans' was an umbrella term for all different gender identities. I said I had never known anyone who identified as, say, genderqueer, intersex, or agender to refer to themselves as 'trans'. Thoughts?

In LGBTQ, the Q can stand for either; there doesn't seem to be a consensus. My preferred acronym is LGBTQQIA, or LGBTQ+.
