Yep, exactly what I was thinking.  A bit of foreshadowing there, perhaps?

The AVClub writer noted that his badge fell on the ground and had a blood drop on it .... just like the Comedian

I think Adrian has genetically engineered a few other companions, who don’t quite understand cakes yet.

The Tulsa Race Massacre should be covered in middle or high school. Just an unreal part of American history that gets largely ignored.

YOU COVET MY ICE CREAM BAR

To be fair, the “let’s become a democracy” idea was laughed out of the room. Instead, they became an elective monarchy, which was a reasonably common form of medieval/Renaissance government.

I think it’s willful blindness. She started making me nervous just before Tyrion arrived multiple seasons ago. I still wanted to like her, and I liked Tyrion, so I was hoping that he would temper her.

I think this sums things up perfectly. Thanks for writing this, Beth! I’m getting tired of reminding my friends about Dany’s slow decent into murderous rage over multiple seasons. Everyone acting like this was some surprising turn either weren’t paying attention for multiple seasons, or simply forgot. Nothing wrong

“No-one’s putting up literal altars for Media, for example, but she’s still one of the biggest players in the game...”

And here’s “Before Pie.”

It is a show about a kung fu master and the actor playing him can’t do kung fu nor can the director or editors SHOOT kung fu.

It’s certainly not perfect, but it also isn’t the dumpster fire some people are making it out to be.

Okay, let’s get into it…

One thing that I thought was clever was the Adam West voiceover at the the beginning highlighting the products that they made - the Joker anti-venom bit was great, though as I was watching I thought it was a little odd giving only one example. Classically it should be three, with the third being the joke, but later
