It’s spelled Atreides, not Atredies. Descended from Atreus’ son Agamemnon.

I’m still surprised that last season wasn’t the end. The last episode really felt like a series finale.
Hulu is working on it, but news so far is very sparse.
“Licking at our heels” is pretty standard for a narrow escape, and “nipping at our heels” is up there. (Although a google search for “licking at our heels” turns up way more porn than I want to think about.)
Two dozen books in the past forty years, and this is the first I’ve heard of her? Clearly I need to find some better sources of recommendations, and I’ve got me some reading to do.
> Even in the crypts of Winterfell, where the women, children, Tyrion and > Varys are holed up, somehow wights break in and raise havoc.
I’ve lost the knack, and I’m getting a headache from all the eye crossing. But I’ll get it eventually. (“Drink more Ovaltine”? Dammit!)
This. I never heard of Umbrella Academy before the Netflix series dropped, and I’m very happy with it. Could it have been weirder? Sure, and more fast paced as well, but by the end of the season I care about the characters and am eager to have some questions answered next time around.
Lock him up. No excuse for that kind of abuse of power. He needs to be taken out of the force and never given that kind of responsibility again. Make room on the force for good cops.
Er, once an object is dropped during EVA, it’s no longer under thrust, thus no longer accelerating. It “drops” because its velocity isn’t changing while yours and the ship’s is, and if it’s not tethered you can kiss it goodbye. That’s physics.
I’m cautiously optimistic. I went in with low expectations, and it exceeded those. (Granted, the expectations were pretty low, as in “Homeboys From Outer Space” starring the cast of “Family Guy”.) I gave it the full hour, and will go back next week to see its vector.
It’s really not about who the real Jesus may have been. It’s about who people believe Jesus was, because it’s belief that makes the God. There are white Jesii because there are a lot of people who imagine Jesus as blond and blue-eyed.
I always thought ‘unit’ was fairly obscure slang; the only place I’ve seen it used as slang for ‘penis’ was in an old National Lampoon story. Up until today, anyway.
I probably need to get caught up. I stopped reading the X books before Gambit showed up (not too long after Bishop and Cable showed up and Angel became Archangel). I only remember him from the cartoon series.
It was cute. Unfortunately, for something that’s supposed to be a comedy it just wasn’t very funny. It’s got good actors, there’s a workable premise, but it needs better writing. Hopefully it will find its feet before it loses its audience.
That’s what I thought it was, too, just with a different arrangement. It could be something else, but the chord changes felt right. Seems thematically appropriate, as well.
“Enabler” for me has been forever transformed by Documentary Now. Every enabler is now Bill Hader in old age drag.
I’m disappointed that the red wheelbarrow word salad is an actual poem taught to students. I must’ve graduated before that became a thing. Hurrah!
My wife and I couldn’t make it through the litany of Naz’s idiocies in the first episode. If the rest of the series got even worse, I’m not sure why it made it to the screen.
This is the kind of thinking that brought us the re-branding of the SciFi channel and the cancellation of all its science fiction shows. They’ve since seen the light and managed to turn that ship around in a big way. Who knows, maybe Gotham will see the same kind of epiphany. Or it could just keep sucking harder and…
