Why did you place racism In quotes?

Heres something thats a not so secret in Hollywood. Its about money, and not artistry. They’ll remake, reboot, release the same movive over and over again as long as its profitable. Why take a risk with a new IP when you can ‘invest’ money on a proven IP.

I don’t think anybody engaging in this type of behavior is wondering why, lol..

Halle Bailey was born in Georgia and moved to California at the age of 12, where she stills reside. Walt Disney's The Little Mermaid, an American movie starring and made by Americans, is as much her culture as its yours. She's not stealing anything from you. 

So, basically we won’t know if the movie is any good without shelling out the dollars to see it.

You misunderstand what’s going on here. They aren’t in the business of telling original stories or appealing to a wider audience. They are in the business of monetizing nostalgia.

Except when they use original properties to increase diversity (Lightyear, Strange Worlds, etc) and the dipshit culture warriors still get pissy about “the woke.”

Based on the quotes around racism, I can only assume that you can’t form your own opinions on things anyway and are truly, deeply affected by the review-bombing.  Maybe when your move your bigoted ass out of mom’s basement you can go see some movies without being told whether or not you should.

Weird that you put racism in quotes. Its almost like you don’t believe that racism is why this movie is getting review bombed. Why would that be, I wonder?

Just read actual reviews by movie critics or even your favorite Youtube streamer. Still likely a better gauge than randos posting 0 ratings on Metacritic and Rotten Tomatoes.
