I find it simultaneously comforting and depressing that the U.S. isn’t the only industrialized nation with major infrastructure issues.

So... all of these loving words about the car and no true beauty shots of the pristine interior? You monster!!!

Actually, she grew up in Ogden, Utah — which probably explains why she did so well in the nasty weather.

This pic pretty much says it all:

1988 Corvette. My dad was a salesman at a Chevy dealer for about a year and a half beginning in late 1987, and I began my obsession with cars while he was there. I’ve been interested in just about every production car at one time or another along the way — everything from Toyota-based Chevy Novas to Ferraris. The

David, if you do ANYTHING bad to that Alero I may have to flatten all the tires on your cars and break out all their windows. Oldsmobiles, being survivors, deserve respect. If you’re going to do something horrible to a car, please do it to a horrible car... like a Neon, Yaris, or Echo.

This is quite possibly the most well-written article I’ve ever seen on any of Gawker’s various sites. A big gold star for you, Stef!

Kind of reminds me of my own Integra story, which admittedly isn’t anywhere as interesting as yours. My car, a ‘97 LS four-door, was totaled in a wreck by a red-light-running ‘88 Pathfinder, and about six months later I found it for sale at a local bodyshop/dealership. They’d not done the greatest job repairing the
