This from the man who goes out of his way to insult strangers on the Internet... in the comments of a Star Trek video game post. Silly I may be, as “Faux Trek” is a fairly common shorthand for expressing disdain for the Abrams movies, but only one of us is acting childish.

No, you didn’t want to take my opinion seriously. You wanted to express your own views in as condescending a way as possible. I can see where you’d get confused.

Agreed. Karl Urban is easily the best thing about Faux Trek. Well, the orchestral music is pretty good too.

“stars from two and a half Star Trek settings (Abrams hasn’t earned it yet)“

They really missed an opportunity to have Junkrat say “Oh what a lovely, lovely day!”

RE voice lines: there’s one, and only one, that I unlocked with my all-too-infrequent credits: Mei saying “Sorry, sorry, I’m sorry, sorry” in that adorable tiny voice.

That’s not even a comparison, that’s just a collection of insults.

It helps that PC graphics have hit a bit of a plateau. A new AAA game from five years ago doesn’t look that different from one today, unless you’re looking for one that’s specifically designed to tax your system. Any laptop with a discrete GPU can handle most of the stuff on Steam, and a “gaming” laptop will do it

I find it weirdly condescending that the AI players always say “gg” at the end of a practice round.

For some reason that’s terrifying. I can hear the squeaks from here.

Nope. Bastion players are the ones who never pick anything BUT Bastion, scream at their team to push while they stand behind, and tell you to “GIT GUD” when they fill ten seconds of Play Of The Game with nothing but holding down the fire button. I always imagine them as playing on the Alienware desktop Grandma got

The developer’s website is down, but Facebook lists a phone number from Azerbaijan (where the Caucasus mountain range is). I don’t want to make assumptions here, but it’s a fair bet that the developer’s position on LGBT rights are culturally and/or religiously motivated. Tolerance for mine and not thine, I suppose.

I don’t even understand it. I’ve been accused of being a “tryhard” because I use a surround sound headset on my PC. Am I not supposed to try hard to win a game? Am I supposed to try less, and presumably lose? But that means that people upset at me when I beat them (invariably the ones who call me a “tryhard,” and I’m

Well yeah. If any character was ever meant to appeal only to those people who are currently wearing black trench coats in homeroom class, it’s Reaper.

Headey looks intensely uncomfortable with video games in general. I wonder if she was there because of some compulsory promotion thing.

I don’t speak Japanese and my knowledge of anime and manga is pretty shallow, but that looks like an anime about... a guy who really wants to make anime? And they make a bunch of rip-offs of Sailor Moon and Macross?

Soooo how hard would it be to buy four or five of these for massive internal storage and RAID them together (for someone who’s never done so before)? And how much slower would it be than my vanilla 500GB Samsung SSD?

Soooo how hard would it be to buy four or five of these for massive internal storage and RAID them together (for

“Take a swing at it?” Come on, Luke, that should obviously be “take/have a stab at it!” Hang your head in shame at the lost opportunity for a cheesy pun.

Well that was unexpected. I thought they were making bank on the toys - Disney certainly thought they were going to.
