I don’t mind Jack Daniels but Evan Williams is usually cheaper. I’ve never had Seagrams but know of it from Turnpike Troubadours.

There are some beers that just make me gag. Stuff like Bud Light I can’t even drink once I’m drunk. Corona as well.

See, Texas has some national forests, three major mountain ranges as well as over 350 miles of coastline... and the hipsters only really exist in Austin.

We’re supposed to have 2-3 days of 70s then right back into the 80s. All our highs this month have been 83-88.

Part of me loves the idea of not having to pump my own gas but the other part thinks it would be really weird. What do they do when you need gas at 3am? You know what’s so great about not needing a butler to pump gas for you? Places like Buc-ee’s.

It’s hard to stay cool when it’s 88 here. I got pretty jealous watching this music video including all of Oregon’s state parks. I don’t think I could live in that state, but their weather looks/sounds amazing.

Maybe it’s because I watched Killer Klowns From Outer Space as a kid, but I can’t wait until people go out hunting these clowns down. Just recently in my hometown a guy had a clown aim a rifle at him so really it’s only a matter of time until they start getting shot by people, however harmless they may be.

So occasionally I’ll pour a Sprite+Evan Williams, start up Spotify and play Freecell (you don’t have to tell me how cool I sound). It’s a great way to just relax and listen to music.

Stay classy, Jays fans.

Also, this song just hit its 10 year anniversary (at least of the album release).

I’ve been digging some older stuff - and especially this song - lately. It’s weird that it doesn’t even register that the song is 20+ years old.

Tonight’s feeling like a Gregory Porter night.

It felt like a lifetime.

Yea, Texas. It was thankfully not the worst of the summer... had some cloudy and rainy days. Of course, it was still up to 88 inside some days.

As of Tuesday at 5pm, I have AC again. That’s a reason to celebrate and have a drink if you ask me. Looks like Soundcloud isn’t working for the Roger Creager version (my favorite one), so here it is from Owen Temple.

There’s about three seconds from when he catches it and he’s noticeably down, to when he gets hit. You can’t tell me he thought the play was still active when he sees this:

I see time on the clock

A lot of it is just down to what we’re used to. I remember Christmas day a few years ago it was something near 85. Now, we do get cold times, but the highs for December/January are usually in the 50s and days in the 70s are kind of expected. And 40 for me is where I’m bundled up like someone up north when it’s near 0.

That’s how my mom is... AC cranking even if it’s low 70s and maybe even high 60s out. My thermostat is usually around the high 70s (77/78) and it feels good. I’m just glad the worst of the summer was over. It still got into the high 80s inside but if this happened a month ago it would easily be in the mid-to-high 90s.
