I listened to this song so many times on my walks to/from classes in college. I don’t know how long it’s been since I last listened to the song but it brought me right back to those days.

Alright, so I have to post these three songs from Heather Maloney. Other songs are good but I’m obsessed with these three, particularly with how different each one sounds to the other.
I’ve never really had an issue with enjoying coffee if it’s hot out. Often times you’ll wake up at 5am and it’s still 75°+ out. Whether I’m drinking coffee then or a few hours later when it’s 105°out - or it’s 40° and cold enough to kill the dinosaurs - my method for enjoying coffee is the same; I make it and then I…
Sometimes I wonder where Kasey Anderson would be had he not suffered from his bipolar and other issues years ago (though granted that’s also what inspired many of his songs). I had talked with him a few times through Twitter in the late 00's and seemed like a decent enough guy and really enjoyed his music.
Shakey Graves does some good covers, here’s a Flatlanders one. Unfortunately Kessler Theater has other songs from that concert posted but not Dallas, so we’re only left with a lower quality recording.
My first thought was Uncle Lucius. Then I hit play, listened for a second and re-read, then tried to think of where I knew Uncle Tupelo from.
It is time to be revived.
I’ve lived in cities of a few hundred and a few million. The best I’ve slept is in the cities with millions and that city noise.
I just got back from the gas station where the clerk spent two minutes trying to open a plastic bag to put my stuff in. I don’t know what the guy was on, but he was definitely on something and definitely not pulling it off.
I find it really amusing how much you’re whining about something is pointless as penalty kicks being called PKs.
Feel the same. I looked up my recordings and it looks like it was Barca that I had the foul issues with, as the recording I have is of the first leg against Madrid where I have shooting issues. In just the first couple of minutes I had numerous chances that all hit the post.
The other day I was playing against Real Madrid in the Spanish Cup as a lower tier team. Countless times I made a tackle and got the ball but there would be a foul called and most of the time a yellow. Madrid, on the other had, could tackle me from behind and not even a foul. I was even the home team so it wasn’t any…
Oh wow, yea that would definitely be quite the experience. I’d be in shock simply to see him out “in the wild”, can’t imagine actually interacting with him.
Preferred the first one. And speaking of trains to San Antone...
I’m gonna hold you to that. Was listening to this one the other day, does a great cover.
Unintentional I’m sure, but just reading the name Brenda Lee made me want to watch Home Alone.
The second and final part. The first artist here is another lesser known guy but the song no doubt is known by many, originally by the great Charley Pride.
Like Erg yesterday, I’ll do a theme tonight. San Antonio. Not my favorite city in Texas but it’s certainly found its way into the title of many a song (River Walk is pretty cool, though).
This is one my favorite American Aquarium songs, about Barham’s once fiance. As much as I love his voice, what makes this my favorite version is that it’s a live performance from Raleigh where BJ mimes the performance and the crowd takes lead on vocals. It might take about a minute... but it really makes it a great…
I kept waiting for Remember When.
