I’ve seen a lot of those 50s “informational” videos from Mystery Science Theater 3000, that was one of the worst of them. Gotta love the last line about how they “may appear normal”.

That’s what my brother tells me, but I’m far from a fan of them by themselves. The place that owns the orchard also does candies, so they at least have some chocolate covered peanuts or frosted ones that are pretty good.
And we all know how wrong it is to be one of those people.
I can’t understand why it’s supposed to be bad to enjoy that.
A while back, for a couple days, I would have some guy comment on my song posts about oh look something about Texas, how original. I just rolled with it and posted a bunch of songs about how Texas is the best. Ray Wylie Hubbard helped. If I wanted to post an artist that didn’t have any songs about Texas, I just made…
It really is. I’ve been to Dallas numerous times but this is the first time I actually had to go downtown, and it was pretty smothering. I loved getting to those open cow/corn fields where everything just opens up. The backyard there butts up to a bunch of open land and then all you can see is hundreds of pecan trees…
I’m not too sure myself, apologies to your billfold if I indeed was the one. I know I’ve posted Alabama Pines before. Maybe twice.
I was looking at that one but Cover Me Up is the song that started roughly one hour into my drive on Wednesday (which started at 4am) and I had to fight to not close my eyes. It seemed only fitting I ended the trip with the same song.
So since Wednesday I’ve driven ~1,300 miles around East Texas/Hill Country and have to say I’m worn out. I still prefer it out west, especially with it being 20 degrees cooler right now than where I was, but I’m certainly going to miss those views. This is what I saw from my brothers’ front yard where I was the past…
Ha! I tried the watermelon/lime juice and I immediately regretted it. Definitely not my thing. Not leaving for Dallas until tomorrow morning and getting back sometime Sunday. Part of me is already ready to come back, not looking forward to all the driving.
I have to disagree with the MGS and Duke Nukem examples. The type of game that Duke Nukem is, that dialogue fits in well. And for MGS, I actually enjoy the ways they break the wall.
That shot used for the article picture looks pretty crazy, glanced at it and immediately knew where it was. They didn’t use standard bleachers, but the type actually there, the same trashcans, similar looking restroom sign... wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a building behind those showers/restrooms that’s a giant…
We’ve had some nights that it took until near morning to get under 85. Hopefully we’re a month or two away until slightly cooler weather. I wish we had some storms, wouldn’t have minded those ones we got early on to be spread out.
I got 5 right, blindly guessing on all but Trump and Anne Hathaway (because I watched Dark Knight Rises recently). I still feel a bit embarrassed.
I was outside earlier in sports shorts and a white t-shirt and was hot just standing there, being in any kind of suit just sounds awful. Thankfully we haven’t had anything too hot, mostly mid-to-high 90s. I’ll be in Dallas in a little over a week and not looking forward to it, their high the last four days has been at…
Ha, yea I’d imagine that doesn’t help things. The joys of bachelorhood, undistracted all-day football on Saturdays.
I mentioned him yesterday, you should have seen it coming. This guy is king at making sad, depressing songs.
Your city is doing something wrong if the highlight of being there is trophies from a sport.
