I would love to see more shoeys, not just for the grossness and willingness of celebrities to debase themselves in front of the public, but because I genuinely enjoy Daniel and and his infectious enthusiasm. I hope we see more of him and Lando - they come across as good, personable people.

I can’t stand Tesla playing with all our lives with public beta testing of their unready, incapable “self-driving”, I think their quality control and corporate culture are garbage, and Musk is a fucking idiot dickwad (and a total Pedo Guy). But ALL of that is eclipsed by the lunacy of driving 90mph on a goddamn

The car was speeding to beat a red light (after passing another car illegally), got airborne after a bump in the road, landed off-kilter, and the driver lost control and crashed.

Unfortunately, they decided to drive 90mph in a 30mph residential zone not built for that type of speed. The Autobahn, for example, was/is designed with speed in mind and has safety features like guard rails on both sides to prevent cars from impacting stuff like trees.

For better or worse, I think Blue Origin is serious, they’re just very much behind SpaceX at this point.

Same. If Hertz is the only choice, I’m going carless. This has happened often enough that it seems an unacceptable risk to rent from them. For that matter, I’m really interested to see, once people run the numbers on that data that Hertz didn’t want to release, whether you’re more likely to be seriously injured in a

Hertz is trying to imitate Enterprise but getting some of the details wrong:

I can sense a new Ad campaign:

The bottom? If there’s no other choice, I’m walking.

The more I read about these stories, the more I wish Hertz didn’t survive bankruptcy.

Here come the strangely defensive nerds. Popcorn at the ready.

I’m still in the greys, and will likely forever remain so, but:

I got straight up shadow banned on Kotaku for cracking a joke one of the new writers didn’t like. This after being an active ungreyed commentor on every Gawker blog for years.

So much this

It’s not just David and Jason leaving man. It’s the broken comments system. It’s the constant listicles. It’s the lack of proof reading, the lazy reprints/links to other outlet’s articles, the ill advised hot takes like the “It’s okay people are robbing trains because they lost their jobs” article from a few weeks

Everything we’ve chucked into space is still floating around aside from a couple things that came back down and a couple we left on the moon. That's kind of just how space works

With the exception that one of the unmasked idiots might give it to me, I’d take it home and it would kill my wife or my 91yo dad. She’s seriously immunocompromised, just like any number of other folks dealing with chemo or similar immunocompromised conditions.

We’re kind of tired of having done all we can to with

That at least involves consent by the user. I never consented to walking or driving around this half-assed AI tech.

You can go quite far in 7 hours on a plane.
