My Hooptie Fleet is Boring

One of the nice things about the domestic truck manufactures is that you can order it however you want it.

Petrosexual, I love it! I’m the kind of guy that works in the oil patch, but shows up in a hybrid. I’m totally borrowing that word for my bro-dozer driving coworkers.

As long as you can maintain visual line of sight, you CAN fly over other peoples property. It is people that you cannot fly over, unless it is while doing part 107 licensed worked. That’s also why it is encouraged to join the AMA or get liability insurance from another source, just in case your aircraft goes down and

You do not own the air space above your home. Anything above like 50'-100' over the tallest point of your property is fair game. That airspace is governed by the FAA. RC aircraft and drones are allowed to fly in the 0-400' AGL range. While it is creepy and unethical for someone to park a drone 100' above your home,

I see a lot of those. That picture is a SR with utility package. Saves you about $1700 of the price of a regular base model. It gets rid of the useless rear seat and you don’t get paint matched bumpers or mirrors. You can get it in 4x2 or 4x4, but only with the 4 banger. They mostly get sold for commercial use, but

34K? Did they ditch the extended cab version?

I’m right there with you. I have a 10 year old reg cab Tacoma 4 cyl 4x4. I don’t see myself ever getting rid of it.

And most of us who actually use our trucks off road would much rather buy a lesser model and build it up the way we want it.

I wonder how fast they were going? I also wonder if these self driving modes can be activated while speeding, or if they default to doing the speed limit?

I’m in California, 30 minutes from the lower Sierra Nevada mountains and an hour from the Mojave desert. An XJ on 33's would be sweet! I have a little 4 banger reg cab Tacoma. It’s on 33's, re-geared with 5.29's and ARB lockers. It’s a fun little rig.

I’ll star you and get you out of the grays. There is a lot of truth to what you are saying. During Covid, the trails got a lot more crowded. That level of traffic is not good for the environment. YouTube has also blown up a lot of once great spots.

Love that dude! But there is a misconception about those of us who actually go off road. We do care about the environment. So much so that we want to venture out deep into it and enjoy its beauty. We also don’t actually go off road, we stay on the trails. Now the dirt bike, SXS and quad community, that is another

I also secretly like the current RAV4, but the Camry is a much better car to drive and has more room for us tall people. My wife has a 22 RAV4 Hybrid and I have a 22 Camry Hybrid. At 6'5", I barely fit in the front of the RAV4, and forget about the back seat. In the Camry I have plenty of room. In SE and XSE trim, the

NP because of how clean it is.

Any car my wife drives. She treats the accelerator like a switch, and she prefers the on position.

Did you make some investments in O&G?

I run plants these days. Other than the stress and the hours, it is a fun job. I like that challenge of not blowing myself up lol. On a serious note, it is very rewarding. I’m responsible for a gas plant, oil plant and a water plant. There’s a lot of satisfaction being able to spot issues before they become a problem

Yes sir

I loved my old NX2000. Such a fun little car!

The last 3 years have been a crazy time to be in the industry.
