Every game is a balancing act between satisfying demand and selling out. The company operates on pretty small margins, so selling out quickly is really important. Part of selling out quickly means not making too many copies in order to create a feeling of “oh man, I need this” for their customers.

I didn’t have a computer until the fall of ‘99 (sorta crazy to think about these days), so I missed the initial hub bub over FFV, but the early aughts were an amazing time to be alive when it came to roms and emulators. DeJap was king, ZSNES was getting updated every other week (RIP old friend), and everyone had

A couple sequels on here have me scratching my head. Mega Man X3, for starters, since it’s generally considered the worst of the SNES trilogy. Dracula X is a mistep as well, as the SNES port is not that great, especially when compared to Super Castlevania IV.

That’s always a bummer, but I’m pretty sure they’ll get the worst offenders ironed out. I’m waiting for the Limited Run Games physical copy (which will be released when they get most/all of the bugs patched), so hopefully my play through will be much smoother.

You probably know this already, but apparently a beta was pushed out instead of the final version. If you’re having issues, I’d check to see if the most recent patch is installed (it came out yesterday evening).

I love love love the first three Densetsu games; the first two are important gaming milestones in my life and the third is just all around fantastic.

I haven’t had any problems as of yet. My dock is a little bent, but I’ve sandwiched a micro fiber cleaning cloth in front of the screen and that seems to work. The dock scratching issue does worry me; I normally don’t use screen protectors because I’m generally very gentle with my gadgets. It’s wild to me that

Said director Yoshinori Kitase in an interview with Edge Magazine: “It’s maybe strange to say [this], but I miss the limitations of making games in those days. The cartridge capacity was so much smaller, of course, and therefore the challenges were that much greater. But nowadays you can do almost anything in a game.

I’m confused. Why not just use a credit card? I just use mine wherever and pay it off in full at the end of the month.

Warning: Kirk’s RE7 discussion with Heather is pretty spoilery. Thanks guys :/

You got the top 2 perfect, though some days I think LA may take the the top spot for me. I’d probably rank windwaker 3rd, followed by link between worlds. I still need to replay majoras mask to decide what to do with it.

Not a game persay, but as of late I’ve become frustrated with how much time jrpgs make me waste with pointless filler quests and other things that add very little to the main story. I miss the days of 20-40 hour adventures :/

Not to mention 90s Nicktoons and Hey Dude! I’m hoping they’ll get the rights to more of Nick’s live action stuff, like Pete and Pete season 3 and Salute your Shorts. One day, maybe.

I honestly never had much problem getting 3D to work well on my OG 3DS, but I do realize it’s a YMMV kind of thing. On the other hand, my N3DSXL has trouble reading my eyes when I switch into glasses, and that can be a pain.

I went from the 3DS XL to the New 3DS XL, and if it I hadn’t only spent $60 on it with some good deal making, I would’ve been a little disappointed. The stable 3D is nice, and it is a little faster, but it’s not spend-another-$200 better.

Let me also disagree on this point. JRPGs have been my bread and butter for 20+ years, and there are plenty of them with great stories that don’t rely on subtlety. Generally speaking, FFXV’s story is just not very well presented.

You can pick up a loose copy of Star Craft for less than $50. I wouldn’t exactly call it rare. Rule of Rose can regularly be had for under $200. Trip World for less than $250; There’s a listing for $200 as we speak.

A couple points of clarification:

I just bought a 10ft micro USB cable from monoprice. Did the same thing for the PS3.

Hah, this is so neat. I definitely remember several of her drawings, especially the Kirby and DKC2 ones. And Yoshi’s got so much ‘90s ‘tude! I love it.
