Blanching is a cooking technique wherein you drop an ingredient, typically a vegetable, in boiling water. After a period of time, you remove the ingredient and quick transfer it to ice water in order to stop the cooking process. I would assume that's what they're going for.

Still disappointed this game isn’t getting a physical release, but I’m glad to see you enjoyed it, as our JRPG tastes are usually pretty well aligned. I look forward to the inevitable sale that puts this at <$20 (my personal digital threshold).

I’ve had your same theory several years myself. Most of the time, I feel like unless the voice acting is perfect (which it typically isn’t), it drags the game down because my imagination can’t create the type of character I’m expecting based on context clues.

Jason: At this point, we pretty much know what the landscape for jRPGs in 2016 looks like. Have you heard any pre-e3 rumors to get about excited about in 2017 and beyond?

Man, are they saving anything for E3? Feels like this kinda stuff would be better presented at the presser they spend tons of money on.

I’ve been looking forward to I Am Setsuna since it was first revealed, but I’m very disappointed in how SE chose to release it. I would have had absolutely no problem plopping down $60 for a physical copy (maybe with a nice manual since SE can’t help but talk about how classic and nostalgic this game is), but I refuse

I guess I have my answer, considering how many times they’ve done this, but do these games actually sell on mobile at the prices SE is asking? Would it be that hard to port these games to, say, PS4?

I end up posting about this every time the emulation debate comes into play, so here’s a little copy paste for you:

It’s always worth mentioning how fantastic cross buy is. Nintendo, take note.

So, as someone who has really only half followed this story, but is concerned about child exploitation, has Rapp ever outright condemned child exploitation via child pornography?

I mean, did you expect Nintendo to not deny this? Denying they’re going to discontinue has no real bearing on whether they’re actually going to discontinue the Wii U. They’re just doing damage control. After all, they still have at least 6 months to sell the Wii U as their primary console, which no one would buy (an

Any news on a PSP release?

Oh hey! I’m being referenced. How swell.

Eh, I haven’t really had an issue with storage. I rarely play more than one game at a time, and I’m not one to replay games immediately unless the story demands it (Nier, for example). I don’t do multiplayer either. When I need more space, I simply delete the game data for the last several games I’ve played.

I have to completely disagree. Imagine that boardroom meeting: “Guys, I know what will get people buying the Wii U! Decade old GBA games on a TV!” ...Said no one, ever.

Hey Jason,

I’ve written this many times in the past and I’ll continue to write it: it is technically impossible for the 3DS (vanilla model at least, and at this point they’re not going to make the games available just for New 3DS, if it’s even feasible) to do emulation at a level that is acceptable in both quality and

As much as I want this, I’m going to

Digital price gouging is an unfortunate reality for Nintendo fans. Like you, I usually just wait for a sale, buy physical, or buy on another console.

It’s also $3 at Gamestop, folks. And safe from that moment, years from now, when Nintendo turns off the Wii U download servers.
