Ugh. Square Enix, please release this on a system with physical inputs. Vita, 3DS, PS4, Wii U, I don’t care. Just don’t let this game languish in virtual d-pad hell.

I think I comment on this list every time it gets bumped, but it is more or less spot on. I still need to play Phantasia Star IV (never had a Genesis as a kid, can’t find time to fit it in as an adult) and Persona 4 (I’ve given the Megaten series several goes but it never grabs me, I still plan on trying this though),…
Wonderboy in Monster Land is my favorite genesis game... I can’t wait to get my hands on this.
As someone who loved Xenoblade Chronicles (and Xenogears, and Xenosaga, and both Baten Kaitos’), I am disappointed in X. I’ve put 75 hours into the game (and have nearly finished the main story), and it’s been an uphill struggle the whole way. From the questionable design decisions, to the “threadbare would be kind”…
Gamefaqs has done several of these events, and it all boils down to a popularity contest (one that can be easily manipulated, mind). Undertale beating out all of these games only means that Undertale got more votes. It is not a reflection of the quality of any game.
There’s a romhack floating around that incorporates the best parts of the GBA version into the SNES version. That way, you get all the translation accuracy with none of the GBA’s limitations.
I have a hard time getting behind Ni No Kuni and Bravely Default as “best” contenders. Did I enjoy them? Sure. But Ni No Kuni was pretty standard Level 5 fare (which is good! But maybe not great), and I frankly don’t understand all the praise Bravely Default gets, what with its paper thin characters and Chapter 5-8…
Bubsy has a special place in my heart, it being one of the first SNES games I owned (I believe my Dad perma-borrowed it from a friend). Sure, it’s not a great platformer, but it’s certainly not the worst thing on the console.
Yeah, it’s a shame the PS4 is not getting Scalebound, but if I had to choose between Platinum-developed games, I’ll take Nier Automata any day.
To be fair, the Wii U, Vita, and 3DS all have at least a year over the PS4. The 3DS has 2 1/2 years. There’s just bound to be more games in general. 2016 and 2017 will be a good judge of what we can expect to see from Japan for the PS4.
Agreed with the assessment of the Wii U. Since the Gamecube, Nintendo consoles have always been a supplement to a Playstation/Xbox. A great supplement, but still a supplement.

EVO gets a lot of love in collector circles because it’s “rare” and expensive, and not for the important reasons like a great soundtrack or interesting gameplay.
“Why can’t I just buy FFVI on the 3DS and play it that way? There is no good answer.”
I can show you the world...
Judging by the height and skin complexion, I’m guessing.... it’s probably Reggie. Also because he does E3 every year.
All this reminds me of is that 15 years later I’m still waiting for a quality romhack of Romancing SaGa 2 and 3. So there’s that, I guess.
4, 6, and 7, but the cool kids say 9 (which is admittedly great)
I’ve played through this on both the Wii and PSP, and I think you’re overreaching on the whole “worst RPG ever made” bit. Is it great? No, but I enjoyed it enough to play through it twice (granted they were somewhat different experiences). I honestly found it more enjoyable than Bravely Default, a game I feel has been…
