I'm always surprised when this one never gets mentioned.

I'm ready for Comcast to win this one. Not supporting the PS3 HBO Go app and trying to become a monopoly is only the tip of their street-slush iceberg of terribleness.
Is there any possibility we can get a follow up on some of these questions? I'm genuinely interested in how some of these "stories" play out.
I don't buy new stuff there (unless it's an amazing deal), but they've been having a lot of great price drops on used games the past 5 months. I've picked up some really great titles for next to nothing.
Ugh. I was hoping this wouldn't be the case. Hooray for the largest cable provider being the most draconian and restrictive when it comes to streaming.
Great article, Jason. As a passionate RPG fan since Mystic Quest, I may not always agree with you, but you always have something meaningful to say.
Other side, Mr. Finger. You're gonna have trouble turning off the light like that.
Few things would make me happier than a sequel to Costume Quest. Not only is the first a wonderful seasonal experience, but there's also a lot of room to grow the series.
Judging by kingdom hearts 1.5, probably plentiful. While I'm waiting for both ffx remaster and ToS chronicles to go on sale, my priority is going to be chronicles, as namco historically doesn't make a ton of copies for its releases.
Not a bad idea, but I hear gba flash carts are getting hard to find from reputable places and are a bit expensive. If you do go that route, but sure to get a ags-101 sp. it has a backlit LCD as opposed to a sidelit one. It's a pretty big difference.
A lot of that comes down to programming on a very specific device. Within the emulation scene as a whole, it is widely accepted that the GBA requires more raw horsepower than the SNES.
It actually won't look terrible if they use a half decent filter. I'm more worried about the sound emulation. The gba isn't known for its audio fidelity.
This. The gba is actually harder to emulate than a snes, and I'm not sure if the 3ds has the raw power.
Neat feature (as in the game, not the article), but please don't lump all RPG'er into one category because you and your friends/peers don't like random encounters. Done correctly, I (and many others) are completely fine with them.
Hey Richard, just curious, but were you born in '85? Seems like a lot of what you've said in this article and the FFVI one matches up very closely with the timeline of my childhood (got a Nintendo when I was 4, Got Final Fantasy X-2 and played it over christmas break my freshman year of college). Only difference is…
Ugh. It makes me sad that the last time I played this game was in 2005 (previous to that I tried to play it every couple years).
Triple shame the psp suikoden never got released here in America. I heard it was pretty good.
I only ever rented it, and to be honest, that I don't own it really bugs me (I have the other 4). It wasn't a terrible game though, and you should play it if you're a fan of the series. It just felt like one of the weaker entries.
I'd say V is the weakest in the series (not including the PSP strategy one... never played it ). I didn't like a lot of the gameplay systems and I was never a big fan of the hex battles they introduced in IV, which are carried over. The story left a bad taste in my mouth too, though after 6 years I couldn't tell you…
I dunno. I love the Suikoden series (to qualify that statement: I've own 1-5 and bought them new at release to boot) but I think it's unfair to say it "is one of the finest RPG series never fully appreciated." The truth is, the RPG community loves Suikoden, and the reason that the games are hard to come across in the…
