I love the idea of a steam machine (as a mostly console gamer at that), but I have a feeling that ultimately there will only be a really niche market for this. It's not going to sway console gamers away from ps4/xboxone/wiiu, and PC gamers are probably just going to stick with their tried-and-true windows rig.

Meanwhile, my bff's nephew dropped out (after repeating 10th grade twice) and got an Xbox One and HDTV because he had a "rough year." Also, he's trying to be Macklemore and referred to himself as the "King of Style."

Have you played the BoF II retranslation? It's like playing a completely different game. While there's a special place in my heart for every BoF, II (with the retranslation) is just great.

Are you sure it wasn't s-video? The reason the cable is so expensive is because it actually has a chip built into it. It was nintendo proprietary and no one ever produced an alternative.

I'd recommend using a Wii instead for your Gamecube joy... The major benefit being that you can play games at 480p (which, surprisingly, many can). The gamecube does have component cables, but they're ridiculously expensive as they were produced in limited quantities.

They're still there, it's just now we have to make a conscious effort to get the joy a'flowin'. Not gonna lie, it's easier when you have a significant other who recognizes your love for something and wants to make your Christmas special. Personally, I'm looking forward to a very merry Christmas.

It sucked in some ways and was great in others. Gaming news was a precious commodity in the 90s and you really had to rely on magazines like Nintendo Power. It taught you to value what little (comparative to today) information they provided. It also taught you the value of patience, as you wouldn't get any new info

I finished it right before Obama got elected the first time around, and I just remember looking at the area and only being able to see the F3 version of it. Super fun.

Fallout 3 is actually my favorite setting in the entire series, but that may be because I live in Maryland.

I played and beat Resonance of Fate, and while it had a fun battle system, it was mediocre (or worse) in just about every other way. The worst part? Its nearly incoherent plot required a companion guide to get anything out of it. Even then, I've watched better stories in a 13-episode anime series.

Confirmed. I did this earlier today with minimal hassle. It's nice having a target literally 2 minutes from your house.

Do you mean The Cave? I don't think Cave Story is even on 360.

I honestly don't know. I'll have to let someone else chime in as I didn't really participate in any of the last gen launches.

Exactly what I was thinking. Between eBay and paypal fees, you'd need to clear $452 before you even made a profit, and that's before shipping and original taxes. Hopefully this trend will continue; there's nothing I enjoy more than resellers having to return all the items they bought because they can't flip them.

Well apparently we can, because, as the article states, the ivory has been collecting "over the years."

You make a fair point, though ultimately I'm not sure I agree. I'd like to believe that people can be respectful of the origin of their ivory, especially if Fish and Wildlife made a move to brand the ivory as reclaimed illegal salvage. There is a feel good story and branding waiting to be soused out there, though

I believe that we could sell this ivory to respectable companies and not have a problem with them reselling if they understood the origins and if we tacked on heavy consequences for failure to comply. Hell, we already have very diligent rules for legal Walrus ivory in place, and anyone I've talked to on the receiving

It's tragic what poachers do to get ivory, but could U.S. Fish and Wildlife think of nothing better to do than destroy it? For instance, sell it to legitimate companies (especially music makers; ivory saddles and bridges are great... don't know if they could make piano keys since it's just listed as "goods") and

I get the feels anytime someone mentions Terranigma. Though Illusion of Gaia is my personal fave (due to nostalgia, mostly), Terranigma is clearly the best of the Soul Blazer Trilogy. The music is amazing, the story is beautiful (and heartbreaking), and the world building aspects paved the way for the also great Dark

Also, because 20 year old pics or it didn't happen:
