Like one of the tweets above, I won the 1994 Championship for SNES at my local Blockbuster. It was the one featuring the DKC Competition Cart, and I won by improving on my brother's strategy of running and not stopping if I missed a banana (to this day, he still says I only won because I stole his strategy).

It makes me happy to see that Enslaved is getting the praise it deserved but never received when it was originally released.

The character or the artist? I can tell you both.

I'm always happy to see RPGs get coverage by mainstream media, but whenever somebody writes a "best-of" type list they never include Radiant Historia. It's easily one of the top 5 rpgs released in the past 5 years, and a game that gives Chrono Trigger a run for its money when it comes to time travel-related plots.

Grinsia is one of the dime-a-dozen rpgs Kemco has released on iOS. I've picked most of them up when they're on sale, and they all, without, exception, feel incredibly cheap. I've played RPG Maker games better in both design and story than anything Kemco has put out recently.

I got a copy of DF Book II for free yesterday during a live stream and I'm really looking forward to playing it. I've been a fan of the series since the original iPhone release, so this game is a long time coming for me.

I was actually really interested in riding the Haunted Mansion ride, but it was unfortunately closed for the season. We passed on the Bumper Cars too, because no one was riding it and bumper cars aren't fun unless you're getting whiplash.

I didn't forget about you!

Blah. Once you play the wonderful BOFII retranslation that Ryusui put out a few years back, you'll never want to touch Capcom's "official" version again.

Great read! I remember renting Earthbound the first day it came out with my older brother (and dad, of course). We were literally the first people to rent it from Blockbuster. The cashier was even nice enough to let us take the strategy guide home.

I'll be sure to let you know then.

The Rehoboth Arcade (the one with the bumper cars and haunted house) was my go-to place in the evenings after a day at the beach. Great memories. Like you, I love my consoles, but sometimes I wish I could just go blow $5 at an arcade.

AboboInSloMo was clearly deriding you, MrCherry, and that's what makes this all funny.

This is known as pyramiding. It's a result of not enough humidity primarily, but some also suspect diet. It can sometimes be hard to avoid if you're in a very dry climate, but it's usually only cosmetic.

Minor pyramiding aside, that is one spectacular-looking Leopard tortoise. "High white" Leopards are somewhat uncommon, and this one is nearly straight white. For comparison, here is my high white leopard (obviously, mine is much smaller. I can't quite tell the size of the original, but female leopards max out around

But you're far better off playing the fan retranslation that came out a couple years ago. It's like night and day.

WaterMelon Co. has been updating regularly on their Kickstarter page, though I don't know what they're saying since it's restricted to backers. Also according to Kickstarter, they were aiming for delivery in December 2013.

I liked the Gamecube controller as much as I loathed it. Little on the small side for my big hands, but the button placement made sense. The C-stick worked really well too. But those shoulder buttons were terrible. My fingers got so sore after playing games like Metroid Prime, which were pretty shoulder intensive.

Heh, I always thought I was the only one who thought that. Their instrumental work is pretty par, but I just feel like they're pandering with their lyrics. I can't help but roll my eyes whenever I listen to one of their songs.

I know quite a bit of "somethings" about turtles and tortoises and completely agree with the distinction.
