We got this for our kids last year and it still provides plenty of entertainment. In fact I’m going to stop at TRU on my way home today to by some expansion track and another car or two for under the tree this year.

You absolutly can, and people do, but the % of Vette owners that do is probably less then 1%.

A big piece of this could also be the standard equipment summer tires in winter. I’m personally very glad that they do that, but they are garbage once the temp gets below 40, let alone snow. I was shopping blizzaks before I even picked up mine.

This is an accurate statement, there’s so many wrecked Subaru’s when it snows as people think AWD = invincible in snow.

But you can do this, just put some good nokian or new blizzaks on there and only do one control input at a time, no sudden hard jabs at the inputs.

I had a 1996 LT4 and got great mileage. In normal daily driving I was easily averaging 28-29 combined. People who think Corvettes are gas guzzling hogs are just making assumptions.

Only $69.88 at Harbor Freight with a coupon

Your going to throw out the ls6 too? Doubtful. There is no question that engine block is better equiped for track use and you will be hard pressed to find an alternative that wont exceed the premium that the Z06 has over the FRC. Also you seem to have overlooked the beefed up transimission and differential with more

Counterpoint:

Bahaha

I hope this is good, because as the father of a 4 year old boy I am going to see it ~42 times over the next couple of years.

Allegedly the fastest car in the world is car referred to as “My Buddy’s Mustang”. I hear about it at every car show but have yet to lay eyes on it.

Was probably a V6 with an exhaust.

Why not a giant ass motorcycle?

Oh absolutely...

It wasn’t meant as financial advice I think...

Your wife and you are in the $200k range because your the type of person who wouldn’t waste money one something like this. You probably also work hard and make smart decisions that bring long term benefits.

I think this post was more along the lines of, “the costs of owning many expensive cars can be less than the cost of owning one expensive car.”

I’m going to start issuing press releases for my own dreams too:

I thought Tom was supposed to be the purveyor of practical, sensible, smart car-buying advice. Tavarish, what have you done with McParland?
