I have a 94 C4 with 6 speed. Driving 100 miles each way to a track day, DOING the track day, and driving home - 25mpg average. Light weight, high gearing and barely turning the motor over while going down the freeway barely burns gas.

I see plenty of WRXs in the ditch when it snows (kids thinking they can drive and cant). Same with the Vette, its about the driver...(and Vette drivers wouldnt drive their car in the snow to start with).

Actually...it is always the best decision to buy...but buy the cheapest most reliable car you can afford, and hoard your fortune. And given this as the best choice, there should only be 3 or so cars available to purchase. Honda Acccord, Toyota Tundra (for those that work), and a Sprinter Van. This covers all needs...
