Those decapitation victims (there appear to be a very small number) weren’t wearing the lap belt. I’m just spitballing here but I’m not seeing a crash so violent that a piece of nylon webbing ripped a head off being walked away from if the person hadn’t worn a seatbelt at all.

Heh. That was the only realistic option at the time. Later ones got NiMh.

A few of the S-10s were sold and occasionally pop up on ebay or wherever.

My VW has the cat just after the turbo.  Good luck stealing that!  I believe that configuration is very common in modern cars.

I can’t speak to the Ford but the S-10 was definitely not a golf cart powertrain. It used a de-rated version of the EV-1 motor and the same powertrain electronics.

I’m not sure where you got that impression. There are effectively two standards for high speed charging:

You have certainly captured the local Audi dealer’s color palette.

That flag thing bothers me more than it probably should but I always think of my Bronze Star-awarded dad and wonder what those jingoistic dipshits have done for their country.

FFR cobras have done well at ProSolo events in the past. For myself, I was never a great autocrosser but could get within a second of the fast guys at BMW/Porsche events with my mild build on R-comp tires. It was a different story at SCCA events.

I built an earlier MK2 16 years ago when the donor kit (you also buy a Fox Mustang) was $11k. Doing everything myself except chrome and cutting the driveshaft, I came in at around $25k for a very basic build. It adds up. Just body and paint supplies cost over $1000.

Nice. They really turn my head on the very rare occasion I see one.

Boom. Those numbers are LEEE-git. It looks like we weigh about the same and your power for 10:40 is a decent 3hr number for me.

And I will continue to star you. :)

These days in AZ, 85+ is a class 3 misdemeanor. You don’t just send in a check.

Good call.  I had an early ‘11 (SN 777) and it was a fantastic car.  I didn’t think it was particularly attractive at the time (I leased it to dip my toes in EV) but I think they’ve aged well.  Ultimately, it was just too small inside.  The e-golf I leased later was much roomier and carried more.

I didn’t think I had a pic handy but it turns out I do.

I own an ‘04 6MT V70R and a ‘19 6MT VW Sportwagen. The newest V70R you can buy is going to be 14 years old. The VW was discontinued for the US market in ‘20.

Please think of others.

Based on their comments sections alone, this is a true statement.

I have no idea. :) I’m just making the observation that better shocks seem to have less of it.
